At Think Well, our commitment to creating safer communities is not an add on, it is a core part of our clinical, ethical, and social responsibility.

Our work extends beyond individual therapy rooms into the wider social space. We actively support safer communities through trauma informed practice, ethical accountability, and responsible engagement with complex presentations, including work alongside statutory services where appropriate. This includes collaboration with probation services, courts, and multidisciplinary professionals, always within clear boundaries of confidentiality, safeguarding, and professional standards.

We believe psychotherapy has a vital role in harm reduction, personal accountability, and the restoration of psychological safety. Supporting safer communities means holding compassion and responsibility side by side, recognising both individual suffering and collective wellbeing. It means working ethically, transparently, and with a deep awareness of power, risk, and impact.

Our policy reflects our values. We are committed to reflective practice, ongoing training, robust supervision, and clear governance, ensuring our clinicians are supported to work safely, thoughtfully, and ethically in complex spaces.

At Think Well, creating safer communities is not a statement, it is a practice we return to every day, with care, integrity, and accountability.

We at Think Well are deeply saddened by the passing of Kathleen Poynton.
Kathleen was a dear friend and ex colleague of our Clinical Director, Pearl Brock. She was a woman of integrity, compassion, and quiet strength, whose presence and commitment to others left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Kathleen was one of the founders of Good2Talk, a local charity which supported the community previous to the work we do at Think Well.
Her dedication to accessible, ethical, and humane mental health support was unwavering.
All of us at Think Well wish to extend our deepest condolences to Kathleen’s family, friends, colleagues, and to all who loved her. Her contribution to the mental health community, and her kindness as a person, will be remembered with great respect.
May she rest in peace.

Pearl x

Think Well Clinic will remain open over the Christmas period.
Only fully closing on Christmas Day, St Stephens Day and New Year's Day.

We recognise that this time of year can be particularly heavy for many people, and it is not always experienced as a positive or celebratory space. If you are attending therapy, please check directly with your therapist regarding their individual working hours. Our phone lines will be checked on a limited basis and responses may be slower than usual. Emails will be responded to as soon as possible.

If you are experiencing a crisis or feel that you need immediate support outside of your therapy sessions, we strongly encourage you to reach out to the Samaritans. The Samaritans National Helpline is available 24 hours a day on 116 123. You do not have to manage difficult moments alone.

We would like to sincerely thank the Greville Arms Hotel for its generous and considered decision to purchase community mental health vouchers, supporting access to care within the wider community. This initiative reflects the Greville Arms Hotel long standing commitment to community wellbeing and social responsibility, and it is a meaningful example of how local organisations can actively support mental health in a practical and compassionate way. With the support of whose quiet advocacy for mental health has always been evident, this gesture will allow individuals to access support when they may need it most. We are very grateful to the Greville Arms Hotel for standing with Think Well and for recognising the importance of investing in psychological wellbeing.
Every penny counts. You can pop in and buy a voucher for €30 and offer someone on our community *the gift of therapy* this Christmas.

We Are Finalists

It is with great pride and gratitude that we share the news that Think Well Psychotherapy Clinic has been shortlisted as a finalist for the Health and Wellbeing Leader Award at the Mullingar Chamber Awards 2025.

Think Well was founded on a clear intention, to deliver mental health care to the highest standard of excellence while remaining deeply human, grounded, and accessible. Every day, our clinicians bring that vision to life with care, professionalism, and integrity, creating a space where individuals, couples, and families can find safety, clarity, and the courage to heal.

Our team is at the heart of everything we do. They are exceptional practitioners who lead with empathy and uphold the values of ethical practice, collaboration, and compassion in every session. Their dedication to learning, reflection, and clinical excellence ensures that the standard of care at Think Well remains second to none.

We are also proud to be one of the only clinics in the country open seven days a week, including bank holidays and even over the Christmas period, so that support is available whenever it is needed most.

To be recognised by our community for this work is a wonderful acknowledgement, and we are sincerely grateful to everyone who voted for us. Yet the truest measure of our success has always been the transformation we witness in our clients, the quiet progress, the moments of insight, and the deep healing that follows. That is the heart of what we do, and it is all the recognition we ever truly need.

Thank you to our outstanding team, our clients, and the Mullingar community for standing with us. Your trust and support continue to inspire everything we do at Think Well.
