Please note that as of 5pm today I finish my duties as the PHECC EMT CPC coordinator. It has been a pleasure to work with and assist so many EMTs in their CPC journey along with meeting so very many great people over the years at roadshows and information days.

I wish to thank all our assessors who work tirelessly to provide diligent feedback during assessments and strive to ensure compliance with the requirements. They are extremely dedicated to improving the profession.

We have teamed up with CFR Ireland for a reduced ticket price for EMTs attending in Mullingar on the 21st of September.

With 8 CPC points on offer, it is a great opportunity for EMTs to upskill and meet like-minded practitioners.

Tickets are priced at €80 but EMTs can receive a €30 discount by emailing EMT-CPC@phecc.ie and requesting a discount code before the 1st of September! So don’t waste time……only a few days to avail of this offer!

Following the success of PHECC Research Committees inaugural Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Research Conference, the 2024 Conference will be held on November 13th, with an evening event on November 12th.

Further information and abstract submission details will be shared over the coming weeks.

Today’s marked the first pre-hospital emergency care in Ireland run by Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC). An extremely engaging, interesting and enjoyable day so far with some excellent speakers, posters and oral presentations.

Registration for the Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Research Conference closes in 6 days, on November 1st.

PHECC is seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified professionals to join their quality assurance assessor panels. PHECC currently operate two assessor panels.

• One panel objectively assesses organisations, who are recognised by PHECC to deliver pre-hospital clinical care, for compliance with the Governance Validation Framework Standard (GVF).
• One panel objectively assesses organisations, who are recognised or approved by PHECC to deliver pre-hospital education, for compliance with the Quality Review Framework Standard (QRF).

Today we attended the Lifeline Ambulance Service Education CPC day in the Mullingar Park Hotel to facilitate any CPC related questions from attendees.

Thanks to Lifeline for the invite to attend and congratulations to them on an extremely well run day providing FREE CPC for registrants.

Hve you an interest in Pre hospital research?? This will be a great day packed with the latest Irish research abstracts!

The Research Committee of the Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council are hosting their inaugural Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Research in Ireland Conference on Wednesday November 15th in the Glenroyal Hotel, Maynooth, Co. Kildare, Ireland, W23 C2V1.

Please note that registration is limited to 100 places, so please register asap and only do so if you can guarantee attendance!
We hope that a large array of our stakeholders can attend this event, which we envisage will showcase, promote and inspire pre-hospital emergency care research in Ireland.
There will be several interactive and engaging presentations and breakout sessions throughout the event, led by Irish and international experts in pre-hospital research. You will have the option to choose two breakout sessions, spaces in these are also limited!

Expression of interest for EMT CPC Assessors

We are now looking for an expression of interest for those who wish to become an EMT CPC portfolio assessor.

In this survey you will find a simple application form for applying for the position of an EMT CPC Assessor. Please note the closing date for receiving submissions is 12 pm on the 29th of September 2023. Strictly no applications will be accepted after this point.

This position is only open to those that are actively registered at EMT level. Please read the guidance document at the start of the survey carefully before applying. Best of luck!

**** CPC Roadshows 2023 ****

EMT CPC roadshows are now live for 2023 with 6 locations around the country as follows;

Donegal 12th May
Wexford 20th May
Cork 21st May
Dublin 27th May
Galway 28th May
Dublin 11th June

This years roadshows will focus on two topics. Patient contacts and mentoring will make up one session with the second session on Clinical Practice Guidelines, their development and how an EMT can contribute to this.

3 CPC points will be issued for attendance. We understand that some people will be disappointed by the locations, however we have spaced them as best we can to cover the entire country based on the attendance at previous roadshows.
