The very positive thing now for older people is they are positively encouraged to be more active in order to help with dementia ,diabetes cardiac and respiratory conditions. The phrase "sure at my age what would you expect " no longer applies . Its important to get checked over by your GP and your physiotherapist before taking up any new activity and to get advice on how to modify your activities in order to be able to continue to enjoy your hobbies for as long as possible.
