🎃👻 Happy Halloween from all of us at Moss! 👻🎃

We hope your day is full of treats, not tricks! As you and your pets get into the spooky spirit, here are a few safety tips to keep tails wagging and whiskers unruffled:

🐾 Keep candy out of reach – Chocolate and sugar-free treats containing xylitol can be dangerous for pets.
🐾 Choose comfy costumes – If your pet is dressing up, make sure the costume isn’t too tight, doesn’t block their vision, and is free of small parts they could chew on.
🐾 Watch the door – With frequent visitors, pets may get scared or try to sneak outside. Keep them in a quiet, secure room if needed.
🐾 Decorations & cords – Pumpkins, candles, and electrical cords can be tempting but hazardous—keep them safely out of paw’s reach.

We wish you and your furry family members a safe and spook-tacular Halloween! 🎃🐶🐱

💥 Fireworks can be frightening for our furry friends!
This Halloween, help keep your pets calm and safe:
🐾 Keep pets indoors during fireworks
🎶 Play soothing music or use a white noise machine
🏠 Create a quiet, comfy hiding spot
💊 Ask your vet about calming options if your pet gets anxious

Let’s make it a stress-free Halloween for every pet! 👻🐶🐱

🎃🐾 Halloween & Pets: A Sweet Holiday with a Serious Risk! 🐾🎃

Halloween is full of fun, costumes, and candy—but while we enjoy the treats, our pets face some tricky dangers!

🍫 Chocolate & Sweets Are Toxic to Pets!
• Chocolate contains theobromine and caffeine, which can cause vomiting, restlessness, increased heart rate, seizures, or worse in dogs and cats.
• Sugar-free candies and gum with xylitol can trigger a dangerous drop in blood sugar and even liver failure in dogs.
• Even sugary treats (without chocolate or xylitol) can cause stomach upset, pancreatitis, or choking hazards.

👻 Keep Your Pets Safe This Halloween:
✅ Store candy bowls and trick-or-treat bags out of reach
✅ Remind children and visitors not to share treats with pets
✅ Provide pet-safe treats if you want them to join the fun
✅ Call your vet or an emergency clinic immediately if your pet ingests chocolate, sweets, or wrappers

🎉 Let’s make this Halloween fun AND safe for every family member—furry ones included!

Archie and Harley were in for their six month check up with our nurse recently 🐶💕 They were super brave together 😇

At 6 months, vet visits are all about:
✅ Checking growth and weight
✅ Monitoring teeth as adult ones come in
✅ Ensuring vaccines and preventatives are up to date
✅ Discussing nutrition, training, and spay/neuter plans

Both pups got lots of love, healthy reports, and of course—treats for being so brave! 🦴😍

Watching our little patients grow is one of the best parts of what we do. 💚
