I am delighted to be joining Liliana .thinkers for a collaboration on her latest homeschool session.

I'll be guiding the children through a yoga storytime to bring some movement and breath awareness into the class.

This class has been created for the homeschool community, but it would also be suitable for junior, senior and 1st class kids getting ready to go back to school!

Maternity leave started Thursday.. taking some extra time to include a little holiday and some events before little one arrives in August, kicking off with wedding celebrations over the past 2 days and a little trip away over the next week!πŸ’ƒπŸŽ‰
Thank you so much to everyone for the support over the last 2 years and especially to those who stuck with me and practiced throughout the pregnancy.
Sharing yoga with others has been an incredible journey for me and I'm so excited for the future. Classes will return in 2024 and I'll keep you's posted on any updates along the way.

*Life update *
Things have been very quiet on this page lately so I figured that I better check in!..early in December I discovered that I have a very special gift coming to me at the end of this Summer πŸ‘Ά...first trimester has totally drained my energy..but we have still been flowing daily! Honestly between classes and general life I've been mostly napping with absolutely zero motivation to post on social media! πŸ˜† I had all the content plans for 2023 but the universe had different plans for me πŸ˜‡
Just in time for spring the sleepy haze is slowly starting to lift, I feel like I'm truly embodying the seasons of nature this year feeling that freshness gradually bringing me back to life πŸ˜Άβ€πŸŒ«οΈ
Classes will keep going until Midsummer and I'm so looking forward to sharing this year's practices with you all before taking some leave. X

This form of yoga restores the body to a state of Rest & Digest

Using props and padding to open the body into a gentle supported seated or lying position for 5-15 minutes at a time, allowing the body to relax while passively stretching & release tension without any additional effort.

This is not an excercise class, the intention is to SWITCH OFF.

As the body is supported in a comfortable position, mindful awareness of the breath will allow for ease into a relaxed state of being, as you are guided through a restoring practice.

This style of practice is particularly beneficial for those experiencing anxiety or high levels of stress.

Expect candles, fluffy blankets, lots of cushions & a chilled atmosphere & a good night's sleep afterwards.Β 

(Pj's are not necessary but welcome πŸ˜‰)

As a special edition next month, there will be a Restorative Class added in to the schedule!

With the festive season heading into full swing, this time of year can be busier than usual leading to overwhelm and heightened levels of stress! Taking time out for your body & mind to simply REST is an excellent way to help recalibrate the nervous system and refresh the mindset. Take some time out for yourself and ease into your week.

Take time to rest and float into your week with Restorative Sundays at 5PM-6:30PM

HOW LONG CAN YOU STAND ON ONE FOOT FOR?🦢

I was asked this question last week & I don't really know the answer..so today I had a little playtime after class to test it out! Yoga has hugely improved my balance over the past few years, from barely holding steady in a warrior lunge to flowing on one foot.

Try this standing balance flow with me or pick one pose and test your own balance!
Repeat on both sides, the results might surprise you..πŸ‘€
🌟Hold onto a chair or stand by a wall for support, meet your body where it is at 🌟
⚑️Keep palms together infront of chest to keep your centre of gravity lower if rasing the arms causes instability ⚑️

Balance is goverened by the same area of the brain that deals with precision, co-ordination , timing and function of motor movements- the cerebellum. As we age, all of these cognitive functions can become impaired..having a practice in your life that incorporates improvement of balance has benefits for both body & mind.

According to multiple sources improving your balance not only strenghtens the muscles involved leading to improved stability, mobility and reducing the likelihood of falls and injury.
It has also been proven to have cognitive benefits by increasing memory and spatial cognition with evidence to show that strenghtening and maintaining balance throughout our lives can positively effect the functions controlled by the cerebellum and reduce the risks of dementia, parkinsons and other cognitive illnesses.

November schedule will run as usual with a few changes incoming next month!

As a special edition this year I'll be adding some slower styles of yoga with the intention of rejuvenation.

Join me in December for a nourishing Restorative Yoga Class.
