Despite what the gov says,

There is no start date for the construction of the Navan to Dublin rail line.

There is no ring fenced money.

It's not included in projects that will start before 2030.

If there is a judicial review, an economic downturn, it may not open before 2040.

We demand a pre 2030 start date.

At the current rate, it will take 42 years from announcement to completion of the rail line.

In 2009, FF's Noel Dempsey promised a Navan to Dublin Rail Line by 2015.

In 2024, his daughter Cllr Aisling Dempsey promises the rail line some time in the 2030s.

False promises are not good enough. This rail line was built in 3 years in the 1860s. Over 80,000 Meath people commute daily. Build the rail line before 2030.

This shows that the government don't mean what they say when it comes to the environment.
