Apologies for the delay in this week’s update!
Last weekend’s hard frost gave us a tough decision to make, but thanks to an early course inspection by John Curtis, we determined the ground was safe to go ahead.
It turned out to be a brilliant morning highlighted by our pacers and several significant milestones. Huge congratulations to Scott Brown (200 runs / 32 volunteers), Jackie Shiels (150 runs), and Patrick Lynch (50 runs). On the volunteering front, Abigail Callon reached her 25th credit toward her Gaisce award. Well done to everyone who braved the cold!

We'll do our best to make sure the course is safe to go ahead, with our surface, things can be a little bit slippy in areas. If we need to Cancel, we'll do our best to let everyone know asap.

Hi Folks, wishing you all a very happy New Year 🥳.
I am collecting any unwanted Christmas gifts again this year which will be used by Last Hope Animal Charity for fundraising raffles & table quiz prizes throughout the year to enable it to continue its fantastic work in helping animals🐾🐇🐈‍⬛️🐶🐾

Merry Christmas from Navan parkrun! 🎄
What a spectacular turnout this morning! We had 211 runners join us to kick off the festivities—it was awesome to see so many of you out on the course. We hope Santa was good to everyone this year!
While we’re all about the community spirit, we know there’s a bit of a competitive streak in us all. A huge congratulations to first-timer Kevin McGrath, who flew through the course in an incredible 15:16. He wasn't the only one pushing the pace, there's a massive well done to the 27 people who bagged a new PB's this morning! It's not all about PB's though, and some folks also managed to complete their milestones today, 50th for Rachel Deane, and 150th for Adrienne Togher👏👏
A special thank you to Joe Leahy from Mace Newgate for kindly supplying sweet treats for everyone at the finish line—it was much appreciated.
Finally, a massive shout-out to our volunteers for making today possible. It’s a quick turnaround, but we’ll be back again this Saturday, for our last Parkrun of 2025. Well be ready to run off the mince pies and prepare to run into the new year. We can’t wait to see you then!
