On the 16th of November, the Templemore side advanced to the last 16 of the Munster Junior Cup thanks in part to a heroic goalkeeping display from ex-Tipp GAA netminder, Kuba Beben.

One of Ireland’s top Junior players, the gifted Roscrea Badminton Club member claimed yet another National Title, this time at Under 17 level.

🏫🛠️ 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮

If you possibly missed 𝗖𝗶𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗚𝗹𝗲𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗻 around the clinic recently, there was an extremely good reason — Ciara and her father Ger were away in November volunteering with 𝗠𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲, helping to build schools in Cape Town, South Africa.

Founded in 2002, Mellon Educate is an international education charity that has transformed the lives of thousands of children and families in South African townships by building schools, launching literacy programmes and creating local jobs.

Each year, the charity’s renowned 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘇 brings volunteers from Ireland and beyond to deliver safe, modern school infrastructure in underserved communities.

To date the charity has built / renovated 𝟯𝟲 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀, improving education for over 𝟲𝟱,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻.

In advance of their departure, Ciara and Ger raised 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 €𝟭𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬 to fund building materials — a tremendous achievement which has already improved children’s access to education.

Their hands on work on-site and the commitment they showed throughout the trip reflect the same dedication and care Ciara brings to her role at Gold Standard Physio.
