The death has occurred of Bernie (Bernadette) Tackney, née Cleary, 4 Legar Crescent, Clones, Co. Monaghan, Monday 20th April 2026, peacefully at home in the excellent care of her loving family. Predeceased by her parents Harry and Bridie and her brother Noel.


Beloved wife of Eddie and devoted mother of Joey (Sandra), Eamonn (Diane) and Paidi (Ausra). Bernie will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her husband, sons, daughters-in-law, adored grandchildren, Austėja, Danielius and Adrija, siblings John, Dermot, Mary, Briege, Eileen, Harry, Ann, Dominic, Jim, Kiddy and Michelle, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, extended family, neighbours, friends and by all who knew and loved Bernie.

Bernie will repose at Martin's Family Room, Newbliss, H18C962 on Tuesday 21st from 4pm to 9pm and Wednesday 22nd from 4pm to 8pm. Removal on foot from the family home, 4 Legar Crescent, Clones on Thursday morning 23rd at 10.30am, arriving to the Sacred Heart Church, Clones for 11am funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in Mount St Oliver's Cemetery.


Bernie's funeral cortège to the chapel will travel via Fairview, left at the traffic lights, The Diamond and Fermanagh St.


Family flowers only please, donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, to Cavan/Monaghan Palliative care and Alzheimer's Clones Day Care c/o Martin's Funeral Directors, Newbliss/donation box in Martin's Family Room or any family member.

A Memorial Mass for Anthony Gallagher will take place on Saturday 25th April 2026 at 6.30pm in St. Mary’s Church, Latanamard, Aghabog, followed by the interment of his ashes in the adjoining graveyard.

The death has occurred of Anthony James Gallagher, Manchester, England and formerly of Crover, Aghabog, Co. Monaghan, Saturday 29th November 2025, peacefully in Manchester after a short illness.


Predeceased by his parents Tony and Margaret Gallagher.


Anthony will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his wife Doris, children, brothers Mickey, Dominic and Patrick, sisters Mary, Ann, Patricia and Angela, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, many friends and by all who knew and loved Anthony

The death has occurred of Jim (Rusty) Hughes, Corraskea, Scotshouse, Co. Monaghan, Monday 13th April 2026, peacefully in Cavan General Hospital.


Predeceased by his parents Edward and Annetta Hughes, his sister Eileen, his sister-in-law Margaret and brother-in-law Liam.


Much loved husband of Ann and cherished father of Laura (Patsy), Joanne (Alan Forde), Donna and Darren (Melissa). Jim will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his wife, daughters, son and their partners, adored grandchildren Aaron, Nicola, Molly (Micheal), Emma-Rose, Alisha, Chloe, Jamie, Tyler, Kayla and Harrison, sisters Annetta, Josephine, Philomena and Geraldine, brothers Edward and Kevin, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, neighbours, friends and by all who knew and loved Jim.

Removal on Friday morning (17th) at 10.15am, arriving to St Mary's Church, Ture for 11am Funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.

Please note there will be a one way system in place entering via the Green Gates (Hilton Entrance, Scotshouse Rd).

The death has occurred of Ann Cassidy, née McDonagh, Edenaforan, Stonebridge, Clones, Co. Monaghan, H23 HN76, Sunday 12th April 2026, peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, after a short illness bravely borne.


Predeceased by her parents Jack and Catherine Mc Donagh, her brothers Thomas and Robert and her brother-in-law Sean.


Much loved wife of Paddy and cherished mother of Stephen (Ruth, London), Gerard (Heather, Drum, Monaghan), Joanne (Alan Phelan, Edenaforan, Stonebridge) and Catherine (Keith Reilly, Ballinagh, Cavan). The death has occurred of Mary Mc Carville (née Reilly), 16 Cluain Daragh, Newbliss, Co. Monaghan and formerly of Lisnagore, Newbliss.

Mary passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at home, Friday 27th March 2026.

Predeceased by her husband Tommy, her much loved daughter Helena and her brother Patsy Reilly.

Sadly missed, and remembered with love, by her neighbours, extended family, and her many friends.

Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
