🌟 I’m so pleased to finally share this 🌟
I am now an Accredited Play Therapist.
But what does that actually mean?
It means I have completed specialist postgraduate training in play therapy, alongside over 450 hours of clinically supervised practice.
It means my work is grounded in a strong ethical framework, supported by ongoing clinical supervision, and committed to continuous professional development to ensure the highest standard of care.
While play therapy is not currently regulated by CORU in Ireland, my membership with Play Therapy International and Play Therapy Ireland means I am on a register accredited by the Professional Standards Authority in England. This ensures my work is aligned with some of the highest international standards in play therapy practice.
It means I am trained to understand emotional experiences through play, and to support individuals and families in processing feelings, experiences, and challenges in a way that feels safe and developmentally appropriate.
Most of all, it reflects a deep commitment to providing a professional, safe, and trusting space where people feel seen, heard, and understood.
This work is a privilege and I’m so grateful to continue supporting families in this way .
