How well do you listen?

Active listening is one of the key ingredients as a coach and allows for true understanding of a situation ,before responding to it.

It calls us to be fully present.🙏

That prescence alone is so special and why sometimes just being heard , can be so liberating.

Selective hearing has the opposite effect.
It keeps us where we are , stuck , with no plan ( nice shoes maybe ) and no growth.

If you need someone to actively listen , I have appointments in April , both in person and online.

Love it or hate it, social media is part of our lives.
Don't ever stop reminding your teenagers, that not all they see online is real .
Cameras, lights, filters help create what they are looking at and only the good images get shared.

Not real life.

Instead remind them of their strengths, their kindness, their abilities, their achievments and their uniqueness in the world.

Give them your time, set boundaries , give them choices and listen to their opinions.

That's real life.

This came from one of the ladies in my online community and its so brilliant!
It's normal to have a million and one thoughts run through your head when you slow down , never mind meditate like this guy.

The point of meditation is never to empty your mind, not possible.

For me it is about training your mind and body to become aware of and be an observer of your thoughts, feelings, emotions, discomforts and slowly being more comfortable with all of it.

✅️Start with 1 minute , set a timer.

✅️Lie, sit or stand, but be comfy and warm.

✅️Observe how you wriggle around, how busy you get in your head and remind yourself you are here for only1 minute.

✅️Breathe evenly and breathe loudly.
The sound gives your brain something to focus on other than the thinking.

✅️Acknowledge all the thoughts, but imagine you can just watch them like you watch something on the screen.
Now there is space between you and them.
Magic space 💫

✅️Increase your time by a minute the next time.

Guided meditations are the best starting off as all you have to do is turn up.
But before any of that you need to Prioritise yourself!
Try meditation again, don't give up on it, there are way to many health benefits not too.
We have guided meditations in our community as well as loads more.

This was one of the shapes tonight in Prioritise Me Place online community.
I used to find it so hard and would avoid it as much as I could. Sometimes I still do.
But the loveliness of yoga is you always have options.
Never ever be afraid to chose the right option for you.
You are different everytime you set foot on your mat.
Your yoga practice should be too.🙏
