Stop encouraging women to 'bounce back' postpartum, we need time!!
Your body needs to heal - you just grew a life, you have a dinner plate size wound inside you, give yourself time and love to heal ❤️
You need to adjust - a new baby is a huge change - need i say more?!
You need to focus on feeding your body - your body needs fuel, energy to look after baby, heal physically and keep you from losing your mind - it's a whole mental battle too!
You need love - new mamas are so focused on looking after baby, they forget about themselves - show her some love ❤️
Maybe mama doesn't want to bounce back - she wants to focus on baby, adjusting to her new normal and just wearing the same comfy tracksuit all the time!
Stop telling her to bounce back and just bring her food instead 🥰
And when it comes to movement - get outside for a gentle walk..if you can and want to get to the gym, do, but take it slow 🙌
