Portlaoise Lyster Square (Beside Laois Pharmacy R32 R684)

And the telephone box Top Square Portlaoise.

Both locations have been fitted with a brand new AED,and are fully operational once more☺️

Please join us for a fun day in Laois Shopping Centre on 18th October 11am-5pm

Learn CPR and how to use an AED.
Learn what to do in medical emergencies such as:
Cardiac Arrests
Heart Attacks
Choking (Infants to adults)
Strokes

With immediate effect Portlaoise Community First Responders wish to notify the public of the withdrawal of 2 Public Access AEDs from Portlaoise
Lyster Square (Beside Laois Pharmacy R32 R684)
And the telephone box Top Square Portlaoise.

We will notify the community once these are back in Service.

Please use the Public Access AED at St. Peter&Paul's Church R32 HD 72 if required in an emergency.

Last weekend some of our Community First Responders assisted our colleagues from the National Ambulance Service, Paramedics, Lukasz and Krzys who organised a family fun event in their estate in Maryborough Village to fundraise for a defibrillator in the estate. On the day there was CPR demos,first aid and AED use demos. We would like to thank both Lukasz and Krzys for asking us to be part of this event.

One of our groups objectives over the coming months is to liase with estates in the community and help them install AEDs. If this is something your estate would be interested in please contact our pages or email portlaoisecfrfundraising@gmail.com and we can help organise certified training and organise projects with your neighbourhood.

This Saturday our First Responders will be assisting Krzysztof and Lukasz , who are paramedics with the National Ambulance Service,in teaching CPR and other life saving skills for the residents of Maryborough village and surrounding area as they are fundraising to install an AED in the estate. This would be a huge benefit to Maryborough Village,as the nearest AED is 1.7km away in Market Square.
