The walk for Bru on the 13th was an amazing success. To everyone who helped us, I extend a massive thank you . One charity that will always remain close to my heart is Bru Columbanus, and hopefully we will do it all again next year! Míle Buíochas😊

Walk for Bru – Limerick Greenway – 2025

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who participated in or donated to our second ever Limerick Greenway Walk for Bru on September 13th. We were absolutely blown away by the incredible support and turnout!

Over 70 amazing people joined us for the walk, and together we raised over €5,000. We couldn’t have asked for better company as we strolled along the beautiful Limerick Greenway. Even with the showery weather, spirits stayed high, and the occasional splash of rain just added to the fun — nothing could dampen the enthusiasm of our wonderful walkers!

A very special thank you to Geraldine Meade, who, along with her family and friends, arranged the use of the Ardagh Community Centre and prepared an incredible selection of cakes, treats, snacks, drinks, and refreshments - truly beyond our wildest dreams.

We also want to extend our gratitude to the Limerick Greenway County Council team for giving us the green light to host the first major sponsored walk on their stunning trail from Ardagh to Rathkeale. It couldn’t have been a more perfect setting.

Thanks also to everyone who helped spread the word and promote the event. The day was a huge success, and we’re so grateful for all the support and the wonderful memories made.
Thank you again to everyone who participated - we can’t wait to do it all again next year!

Inver Rathkeale - Five Roads has donated €1,000 to Rathkeale and District Community Men’s Shed through the Leading Lights initiative.

The newly launched local Men’s Shed provides a valuable space for men to connect, share skills, and support one another. This space creates opportunities for connection, supports positive mental wellbeing, and brings people together through community involvement.

We’re proud to support the work they do.

🎉🏎️ Thomand Rally 2025 is in town!🏎️🎉

This weekend the Limerick Mini Stages Rally takes place in the local area. It is sure to be a fast-paced weekend, luckily we are selling rally programmes for the event, so even in the heat of the race, you will have all the information you need in the palm of your hands😁 Programmes cost €10, pop in and pick one up before they are gone!

A huge congratulations to our footballers this weekend, we are so proud of ye!🙌🏼 We urge as many as possible to go to Mick Neville Park this Thursday to meet the lads as they undergo preparation for the Tailteann Cup Final. This weekend marks a huge weekend for our Limerick Senior footballers as they take on Wicklow in the Tailteann Cup Semi Final🙌🏼 The game is on at 2pm in Croke Park this Sunday and we wish Jimmy Lee, his management team, and this fine bunch of players the very best of luck🇳🇬 Ye have done us so proud and we are sure the best is yet to come!⭐️A special mention again to our own Andrew and our Rathkeale men Barry and Adam😁

We would also like to wish the other Limerick teams the very best for the weekend. This includes our hurlers, camogie girls, and ladies footballers who are all in action this weekend. LUIMNEACH ABÚ🇳🇬

Finally we want to wish the Croagh/Kilfinny U15 Camogie team who are competing in the Féile this weekend the very best of luck. Bring it home girls!🇵🇪

The game takes place in the Gaelic Grounds at 3:45, try and get in to support our boys in what will be a cracking game!🏐🇳🇬

We would also like to send our best wishes to the Limerick Ladies Footballers who take on Derry in Newcastle West this evening at 6pm. Best of luck girls!🇳🇬
