Due to covID-19 restrictions my classes within Rathkenny Hall are at full capacity which is great but I hate turning people away so I have decided to begin online classes also. This is a brand new service for me so I am going to begin with a 3 week beginners plan.

How does it work?

Classes will be streamed live via zoom on monday and wednesday mornings for people who are looking for a morning workout.

Fuel your body the right way.

Smart Nutrition takes a no nonsense approach to diet and exercise. Whether your goal is to lose weight, get fit or to simply feel better then I am here to help. My name is Grainne McGowan. I am a qualified nutritionist and personal trainer and I have been working in the health and fitness industry for over 8 years now. I hold a number of fitness qualifications, including Pilates, Zumba and I am currently lecturing nutrition within the Fitness Institute, Malahide.

I offer a variety of weekly fitness classes including Pilates, Zumba and HIIT training. My classes are tough, you will feel them the next day, however I can ensure they work and people do enjoy them.

Regarding nutrition, I offer both one to one sessions and group classes focusing mainly on weight loss. I offer people a realistic food plan that involves real food, no deprivation and one that is sustainable for the long term. A person’s mindset is very important in ensuring whether a person reaches there long term goal. It is for this reason that each week when I meet with my clients, I like to focus on various nutrition topics and coping mechanisms that will keep the motivation and focus high throughout.
