MyMind's focus on Early Intervention for mild to moderate mental health challenges means making our services available and easily accessible for a host of everyday issues. These include things like burnout, difficulties within the family, or just needing some professional guidance when dealing with life events. For some it's a pathway to self-care and self-improvement. MyMind is here when you need us.

"Give to Gain" is the theme for this year's International Women's Day, with the message that giving support to gain advancement for women and girls benefits all of society.

As individuals, giving support means challenging stereotypes, tackling discrimination, questioning bias, and celebrating women's success.

For organisations and communities, giving women opportunity, voice, visibility, and gratitude are some of the ways that we can build a more supportive, connected world.

Today marks the start of Eating Disorder Awareness Week 2026.

This year's theme is “Eating Disorders: Exploring Connection and Community,” and emphasises the importance of human connection and support in early intervention and recovery.

In 2025, 11% of MyMind clients sought support for eating disorders and body image issues. Talk therapy works to reduce feelings of isolation and underlying emotional distress. Recovery is possible with support, compassion, and understanding.

Bodywhys, the Eating Disorders Association of Ireland, will be running a host of free in-person and online events this week, including research-focused webinars and practical workshops for teachers and carers developed in collaboration with their lived experience panels. All are aimed at improving understanding and strengthening support networks for people affected by eating disorders in Ireland.

To see the full event programme and register to attend, visit bodywhys.ie

MyMind advocates for and provides equal access to professional talk therapy.

We work to tear down barriers to accessing mental health support, providing counselling and psychotherapy for mild to moderate mental health challenges at rates tied to income, within 72 hours, and without waiting lists or need for referral from a GP or medical professional.

We advocate for early intervention, encouraging individuals to engage in therapy for everyday challenges like burnout, relationship issues, and self-esteem. Seeking support sooner brings lasting results.
