Sending out a little blessing for solstice to all here, thank you so much for being here ✨💞💫
Just in case you need to hear this—
we are coming toward the darkest night,
as the shortest day draws close.
This year has been powerful and potent.
A year of shedding and deep change.
A year of descent and remembering.
A year of letting go of so much.
In Chinese medicine, it is the Year of the Snake—
skin after skin released. The Winter Solstice is a true threshold,a portal where we can pause
and honour what we have been alchemising—
what we have softened,shed,composted,
and lived through the turning of this year.
So if this year has stripped you, reshaped you,
asked more of you than you expected,
know this: none of it has been in vain.
What you have done in the dark
will reveal itself in the years to come.
Solstice can be marked in many ways.
This year, I’m away— taking a wee rest. So grateful for such a powerful beautiful year.
Last year, Newgrange called me deeply,
and I went with a beautiful group of friends to honour it. Places like this carry great ancestral remembrance and are deeply supportive and activating.
And yet, it’s important to listen—
to honour whether working with certain places
is truly in alignment, for us and for them.
If you wish to mark the solstice,
a simple ritual is enough.
Sometime around the 20th, 21st, or 22nd—
sit in stillness.
Light a candle. 🕯️
Close your eyes.
Ground and centre.
Set your intention.
Gently call your light back to you—
from the year gone by,
from the places you left yourself behind,
from moments where it was dimmed,
from times you had to contract to survive.
Let it return.
Without force.
The light is now returning.
we are walking slowly toward Imbolc—
that soft February stirring—
Winter solstice blessings to you all, so much love ✨💞💫
