6th January, 1932 – 26th February, 2026

Peacefully, in his ninety-fifth year, after a short illness, in New York. Predeceased by his son Edmund, parents Julia and Richard, brothers Charlie, Richard, Dermot and Eric and sister Marion.
Much loved father of Siobhan. Bert will be very sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving daughter, son-in-law Bob, sisters Rita and Hetty, brother-in-law, Jack, sister-in-law Mary Teresa, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and his many friends at home here in Ireland, in America and also in England.

May he rest in eternal peace

Reposing at Brady’s Funeral Home, Elphin on Friday 6th March from 5.30o’c with removal at 7o’c to St. Patrick’s Church, Elphin. Mass of the Resurrection on Saturday at 11.30o’c. Bert will be laid to rest afterwards in the New Cemetery, Elphin.

Peacefully, in his ninety-first year, at Roscommon University Hospital. Predeceased by his parents Edward and Delia (née Higgins), brothers Jimmy and Paddy, sisters Maisie, Annie and Kathleen and grandchildren Gavin and April.

Deeply regretted by his dear wife Ena (née Carney), loving sons and daughters Noel, Mary (Anthony), Patty (Dermot), Seamus (Eilish), Damien (Kim), Majella (John), Niall (Sinead) and Norman, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren (especially Joey’s recently born grandson Theo whom he never met), nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. Rest In Peace.

Reposing at Brady’s Funeral Home, Elphin on Sunday (22nd Feb) from 4pm with Removal at 6pm to St. Catherine’s Church, Killina (H54 NY67). Requiem Mass on Monday at 11am. Joey will be laid to rest afterwards in Killina Cemetery.

On 25th January, 2026, fulfilling his duty and doing what he loved in Northumbria, England. Late of 129 (Dragon) Battery, 4th Regiment Royal Artillery.

Immeasurably mourned by his parents Meg and David, sisters Rachel and Kate, grandfather Fred, aunties, uncles, cousins, extended family, goddaughter Katie, a large circle of friends, and fellow brothers and sisters in arms.

In loving memory of a life so richly lived and a heart so deeply loved.

Removal from the family home on Saturday, 7th February, at 12.30pm, carried shoulder high, to St Attracta’s Church, Ballinameen - F52 XT78 - arriving at 12.45pm for Concelebrated Mass of the Resurrection at 1.00pm. Gilbert will be laid to rest afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.

Passed away on 3rd February, 2026, peacefully, in his 94th year, in the care of the staff at Sonas Cloverhill Nursing Home, Roscommon. Predeceased by his parents James and Bridget, brothers Paddy and Vincent, sisters Bridie, Margaret and Nancy and his recently deceased nephew David (UK). Seamus will be sadly missed by his loving brother John, sister Kathleen (Hampton Hill, London), brother-in-law Michael (Castlerea), nephews and nieces Denise, Kathy, Nigel, Kevin, Ann Marie and Michelle, relatives, good neighbours and friends.

Passed away in the loving care of the staff at Clearbrook Nursing Home, Dublin. Predeceased by his parents Bernard and Kathleen and brothers Benny and Tommy. Deeply regretted by his loving sisters Marian Keenehan (Boyle), Agnes Gannon (Kilmore) and Kathleen Wynne (Kent), brothers-in-law Noel and Chris, Kathleen’s partner Mark, sister-in-law Bernadette, nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

4th November, 1932 – 20th January, 2026

Berine passed away peacefully, in his ninety fourth year, in the loving care of the staff at Sligo University Hospital, after a life well lived, having worked in the Bank of Ireland, Elphin for 30 years, was a founder member of the Elphin Windmill Committee, Elphin Comhaltas, St. Patrick’s Day parade participant and Daffodil Day organiser.

Predeceased by his parents Mai and Patrick and brother Padraig.

He will be sadly missed by his cousins, good neighbours, especially Carmel and Donal Duignan, former work colleagues at Bank of Ireland (Elphin), especially Patsy Farrell and his many friends.

May Bernie’s gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
