Peacefully, at home, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Maureen and Tom, brother Alan, niece Mary and nephew Padraig. Tom will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving daughters Aisling and Aoife and their mother Catherine, sisters Mary, Margaret, Grace and Bernie, brothers Paddy and John, much loved grandchildren Méabh and Hugh, son-in-law Gavin, sisters-in-law Siobhan and Deirdre, brothers-in-law Declan and John, cherished nieces and nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Brady’s Funeral Home, Elphin on Tuesday (3rd Feb.) from 5o’c with removal at 7o’c to St. Patrick’s Church, Elphin. Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 11:30o’c. Tom will be laid to rest afterwards in the New Cemetery.

Passed away in the loving care of the staff at Clearbrook Nursing Home, Dublin. Predeceased by his parents Bernard and Kathleen and brothers Benny and Tommy. Deeply regretted by his loving sisters Marian Keenehan (Boyle), Agnes Gannon (Kilmore) and Kathleen Wynne (Kent), brothers-in-law Noel and Chris, Kathleen’s partner Mark, sister-in-law Bernadette, nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

4th November, 1932 – 20th January, 2026

Berine passed away peacefully, in his ninety fourth year, in the loving care of the staff at Sligo University Hospital, after a life well lived, having worked in the Bank of Ireland, Elphin for 30 years, was a founder member of the Elphin Windmill Committee, Elphin Comhaltas, St. Patrick’s Day parade participant and Daffodil Day organiser.

Predeceased by his parents Mai and Patrick and brother Padraig.

He will be sadly missed by his cousins, good neighbours, especially Carmel and Donal Duignan, former work colleagues at Bank of Ireland (Elphin), especially Patsy Farrell and his many friends.

May Bernie’s gentle soul rest in eternal peace.

Reposing at Brady’s Funeral Home, Elphin on Thursday (22nd Jan.) from 5.30pm with removal at 6.30pm to St. Michael’s Church, Croghan to arrive at 7pm (via Elphin Windmill). Funeral Mass on Friday at 12noon. Bernie will be laid to rest afterwards in Eastersnow Cemetery, (via Knocknafishogue).

Oliver passed away peacefully after a short illness bravely borne, in the exceptional and compassionate care of the incredible team at Roscommon Hospice, surrounded by his loving family, after a life well lived.
Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Mai, sister Mary Jane (James) and brother Bernard.
He will be forever missed by his loving wife and best friend Elizabeth (née Treacy), and much loved sons Garreth, Keith and Jason. Deeply regretted by his wife and sons, daughters-in-law Eustelle (Fleming) and Deirdre (O’Driscoll), his cherished grandchildren Dylan, Simone & Scott, brother P.J., sisters Teresa and Anne, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives, good neighbours and friends.

Roscommon), Fiona Henry (Ballinvalley, Coolaney, Co. Sligo) and Peter (Turloughmore). Marion will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her loving family, sons-in-law Liam and Michéal, daughters-in-law Marie and Anita, cherished grandchildren Emma, Adrian, Declan, Peter, Saoirse, Michael, Adam, Callum, Aoife, Evan, Kayla, Kai and Amber, brother-in-law Pete Shiel (Carniska, Strokestown), nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and her many friends.

Peacefully, surrounded by her family, in the wonderful loving care of the staff at Highfield Healthcare, Whitehall, Dublin, in her 89th year.

Predeceased by her parents Michael and Agnes Murray, her brothers John Francis, Bernard and Henry, her sisters Mary, Anne, Josie, and Philomena, brothers in law Tom, Bernard, Frank and sister in law Hilda.

Sadly missed by her loving children Colleen, Deirdre and Michael, her husband James, brothers Michael and Peter, sister Bernadette, son-in-law David, Deirdre’s partner Stephen, cherished grandchildren Simon, Kirstie, Ben, Nicky, Carl and Hayley, great grandchildren Grace, Henry and Rory, brother in law Pat, sister in law Beatie, the extended Murray and Mulleady families, neighbours and friends.

The death has occurred of Henk van Kerkwijk

Carricklom, Hillstreet, Carrick-on-Shannon, formerly of Kilmore, Carrick-on-Shannon, and Amsterdam, The Netherlands, also known as David Winwood and Philly McPherson, both of imaginary location, died suddenly on Friday, 12th December.

He will be missed by his children Joppe, Katinka and Marten, grandchildren Lucas, Luyu and Shuyu, his extraordinary carers, Margaret and Eileen, his friends, his loves, and his readers.

Henk was a writer and poet, though above all a teller of stories, who felt nowhere more at home than in Ireland.

Henk will repose at his home, The Parochial House, Carricklom, N41 VX84, on Thursday, 18th December from 3 pm 'till 7 pm. Removal on Friday morning 10.45am to Aughrim Cemetery for graveside service and burial at 11am.
