MICHAEL CORRIGAN Taughboy, Ballyforan, Co Roscommon and formerly of Shraheens, Balla, Co Mayo. Peacefully, on 14th February 2026, in the care of the staff at Portiuncula University Hospital, Ballinasloe. He will be very sadly missed by his loving wife Margaret (Peggy), son David, daughter-in-law Karen, grandchildren Alicia and Declan, sisters Kathleen and Gabrielle, brother James, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

May he rest in peace.

Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon (F42 NH27), on Thursday evening from 4.30 o’c until 6 o’c. Removal on Friday morning arriving to the Church of Christ the Good Shepherd, Four Roads (F42 P681) for Mass of the Resurrection at 11.30 o’c. Burial afterwards in Taughboy Cemetery.

The Corrigan family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to all their relatives, neighbours and friends for their kindness at this time. They would also like to acknowledge the care given to Michael by the doctors, nurses and staff of Portiuncula University Hospital during his time there.

BRIAN (BERNARD) CAMPBELL ‘Westway’, Galway Road, Roscommon Town and formerly of Corneddan, Ballinalee, County Longford. February 15th 2026, in the dedicated care of the staff of the Claddagh Ward at University Hospital Galway, following a long illness borne with strength and dignity.

Reunited with his beloved recently deceased wife Catherine (née Forde) and sons Joseph and Gerard in heaven, Brian was the cherished father of Catríona and father-in-law of Shane (Keating) and adored grandad of Kate and Jamie. Pre-deceased by his parents John and Brigid and brothers Pat and Terence. Brian will be very sadly missed by his sister Margaret Casey (Newtownbond), his nieces, nephews, extended family, former Garda colleagues, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon (F42 NH27) on Wednesday evening (Feb. 18th) from 6.30 o’c until 8 o’c. Removal from his home on Thursday morning, arriving to the Sacred Heart Church, Roscommon for Mass of the Resurrection at 11 o’c. Burial afterwards in St Coman’s Cemetery.

MICHAEL (MICK) TARPEY Dysart and formerly of Sandfield, Knockcroghery, Co. Roscommon. February 11th, 2026; (Peacefully), in the care of staff, friends and family at Portiuncula University Hospital, Ballinasloe. He will be sadly missed by his very special friends, his sons Michael, Donal, Colm, James, Alan, Anthony and Paul, daughter Michelle, their mother Anne, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, his brother Patsy (Galway), brother-in-law Peadar, nieces and nephews, extended family and neighbours.

Michael is predeceased by his beloved mother and father, Eileen and Michael and his sisters Cathy, Maureen, brother Sean, sisters-in-law, Eileen & Mary.

Peacefully after a long illness bravely borne, surrounded by his loving family at St Vincent’s University Hospital, Elm Park, Dublin and Roscommon Hospice.

Beloved eldest son of Ríona and recently deceased Seán, loving brother of Aisling, Máire, Toirealach, Nollaig, Seán Óg, Tomás and Ailbhe. Adored Uncle of Zara, Thomas, James, Ethan, Adam, Conor, Rónán, Jayne Catherine, William, Samuel, Aoife, Ciarán, Caoimhe, Oisín, Saoirse and Éabha.

Cherished Godfather of Zara, Pearse, Sydney, Samuel and Rónán.

Deeply mourned by his Brothers-in-law Thomas Carthy, Paul Tighe, Eric Godfrey and Owen Dunne, Sister-in-law Iwona Leydon, Toirealach’s partner Jim O’Brien, Seán Óg’s partner Ruth, and by his aunts Mary McCarthy, Anne O’Brien and Gretta Sheeran, uncles-in-law Gabriel, John and Pat. Sadly missed by all his cousins.

Fondly remembered by his wide circle of dear friends.

MICHAEL NAUGHTON Correal, Athleague, Co Roscommon and formerly of Greenfield Road and Abbey Street. Roscommon Town.

Michael (in his 91st year), passed away peacefully, in the excellent care and kindness of Sonas Nursing Home, Cloverhill. Pre-deceased by his brothers Brian and Jimmy.

Much loved and devoted husband of Anne and adored father of Neasa, Oisin, Ultan and Aifric. Very sadly missed by his loving family; son-in-law Larry, daughters-in-law Anne-Marie and Amy, cherished grandchildren Ronan, Arwen, Ciara and Cillian, nieces, nephew, extended family, neighbours, and friends.

Michael will be remembered with great affection for his gentle manner, warm smile, and good humour.

SEAN COX Racecourse Road, Roscommon Town and formerly of Ballymurry, Co Roscommon. (Peacefully), on January 24th, 2026, aged 67, at his home, surrounded by those who loved him.

Beloved husband and best friend of Mary (née Lannon), and adored father of Caoilfhionn (Brosnan) and Bláithín (Conlon). Sean will be sadly missed by his wife, daughters, sons-in-law Seághan and Patrick and much loved grandchildren Séadna and Seán. Warmly remembered by his brothers Henry, Micheál and Dominic, sisters Mary and Paula, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family together with a large circle of friends and neighbours.
