MICHAEL ANTHONY (TONY) DOWLING Glanduff, Kiltoom, Athlone, Co. Roscommon. March 30th, 2026. (Peacefully), at Portiuncula University Hospital, in his 94th year,. Beloved son of the late Michael John and Helena, brother of the late Bridie, Simon, John, Gertrude and Patrick and uncle of the late John. He will be very sadly missed by his brother William, sister-in-law Mary, nephews Willie and Conor, nieces Clare, Kate and Emer, grandnephews, grandnieces, great-grandnephews, great-grandnieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Rest in peace.

Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon F42 NH27 on Tuesday evening from 5.30 o’c until 7 o’c. Removal at 10.30 o’c on Wednesday morning from Conor and Helen’s home arriving at St John’s Church, Lecarrow, for Mass of the Resurrection at 11 o’c. Burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff of Retreat nursing home and particularly all those who provided care to Tony when he was at home.

DES KELLY Hollywell, Derrane, Co. Roscommon who passed away peacefully on March 28th 2026, surrounded by his adored family, under the exceptional care of Roscommon Hospice.

Predeceased by his parents Vincent and Marcella Kelly, his sister Helen and his uncle Pat-Joe Mannion.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his heartbroken family: devoted wife Sonja, adored children Lee (Megan), Jade and Étain, his brother Noel (Mary), his sister Frances (Paddy), nieces Carol Garvey (Neilan) and Veronica Kelly (Corcoran), nephews Patrick and Enda Garvey, his aunt and uncle Rose and Benny Morris, mother in law, brothers-in law, sisters-in-law, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home on Monday evening, 30th March from 5 o’clock until 7 o’clock. Funeral Mass on Tuesday 31st March in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Derrane at 11:30 o’clock. Burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.

The Kelly family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Mr. Mohsen Javadpour and team (Beaumont Hospital), Dr. Sylvie Blazkova (UHG and Portiuncula), Dr. Tom Donegan (Roscommon Medical Centre), Roscommon Hospice, Cancer Care West, Joanne and team at Esquires Roscommon and his many friends who visited and took him for lunch. Thank you to everyone who sent Des Get Well Mass Bouquets, holy medals, lit candles, and sent good wishes his way.

MARY MURRAY (née McDonnell) Lenamalla, Four Roads and Lacken, Rahara, Co Roscommon who passed away peacefully on March 25th, 2026, surrounded by her loving family and in the devoted care of the staff at The Claddagh Ward at Galway University Hospital.

Pre-deceased by her parents Laurence Joe and Tessie McDonnell.

She will be forever missed by her much loved husband Francis, sons Pádraig and Damien, daughters Maria and Thérèse, sons-in-law Michael Carty and Adrian Forkin, daughter-in-law Martina Burke, her much adored grandchildren Aaron, Ciarán, Elisha, Rónán, Rían, Micheál, Senan and Eoin, extended family, neighbours and many good friends.

PADDY HANNON, Ardsallagh, Roscommon Town, Roscommon, 16th March 2026. Peacefully, after a short illness courageously borne, surrounded by his loving family at Galway University Hospital.

Cherished son of Maura and the late Martin, loving brother of Ursula, Clare, Damien and Audrey. Adored uncle of Aaron, Caitlin, Ryan, Jack, Scott and Alex.

Deeply mourned by his sister-in-law Siobhan, brothers-in-law Andrew O`Connor and Alan Roberts, his uncles James, Tony and Aiden, aunts Rosaline, Pauline, Ann and Moira. Sadly missed by all his cousins.

Fondly remembered by his cherished circle of loyal friends.
