Happy Good Friday from all of us at RHS Home Care

As we head into the Easter Bank Holiday weekend, we would like to wish all of our staff, clients and their families a peaceful and enjoyable Easter.

With Storm Dave expected to bring very strong winds and difficult travelling conditions over the weekend, particularly on Saturday, we ask everyone, especially those travelling, to take extra care on the roads.

A special thank you to our carers who will continue supporting clients throughout the weekend. Your kindness, dedication and compassion make a real difference every day.

Our office will be closed over the Bank Holiday weekend.

If any of our staff or clients need support during this time, our on-call team will be available to assist.

Our office will reopen as normal on Tuesday.

We are hiring Care Assistants in Mayo

RHS Home Care is currently looking for kind, reliable people in Mayo and surrounding areas who want to make a real difference in their local community.

At RHS Home Care we recognise that carers spend time travelling between visits, so this time is paid as part of the working day.

For example, two half-hour visits can add up to €20.40 per hour on a standard day, and €23 on Sundays and Bank Holidays when higher rates apply.

Between those visits you may also have travel time and mileage, which are paid as well.

🚗 Travel time between calls paid €14 per hour
📍 Mileage paid €0.30 per km

These additions can significantly increase a Care Assistant’s overall earnings.

⏰ Don’t forget the clocks go forward this Sunday!

At 1am on Sunday morning, the clocks move forward by one hour.

While it may mean one less hour in bed, it also means longer evenings and brighter days ahead. Summer is on the way. ☀️
