I probably don't post enough about working as an Acupuncturist. My logic is usually that we tend to be full which is a wonderful complaint, and also that I just rarely get around to plonking myself down to share a few words. With that in mind I must say a very big "Thank you🙏🏼" to all of you that come for appointments.

Through the years of treatments and trainings what has developed is systematic, informed and also intuitive way of working with these tiny little energy staffs called acupuncture needles.

I feel very lucky to do what I get to do. To witness the humaness of us all and offer support to the best of my ability is a pretty fabulous "job." Thank you to all who trust me enough to be a part of this process.

On this day of glorious sun, it feels appropriate to reach out - like the nourishing rays I hope to reach you with warmth! 🌞🌞🌞

Today and all days, I wish you many things - Lightness, deep breaths and some space in between all of the moments of fullness.

Thank you to those of you who have shared another year with me, another part of your life, some hopes, some fears, loss and triumph, change and all that it brings. Sharing one's life and vulnerabilities is not always easy and I can say all of it is an honour to be a part of.

Hello to you in this holiday time, I hope you are warm and healthy and with those you love 🙏🏼 I wanted to share our new year yoga plans below:

🦋 Two new Yoga courses beginning Monday the 5th of January.

🪷 Gentle Vinyasa Yoga for six weeks from 6:15 to 7:15 pm. Course investment is 70e. Take time to nourish and breathe, explore your body and welcome all that is. All levels are very welcome.

🪷 Pregnancy Yoga for six weeks suitable from 14 weeks. Course investment is 80e. Join us as we take time to rest, to move as it feels good to move. We explore breath and body as you experience and explore your changing body. As a mother of two I have practiced yoga throughout both pregnancies and taught throughout one. I find it a joy and an honour to support women during this phase.

We begin a new five week term this coming Monday the 13th of October from 6:15 to 7:15 pm in The Radisson, Co Sligo.

Our focus will be in cultivating ease as we gently work through pranayama, seated, supine and standing positions as well as gentle sun salutations.

Witnessing the soft green sprouts emerging this time of year is such a tonic! 💚

With Spring in the air, we may feel the wish to prepare for new growth, both internally and externally.

This potent time of year is associated with the Liver and Gallbladder in Chinese Medicine. We see the importance of the bitter taste, the colour green in abundance, as well as the stirrings and movement of Qi after a long winter. Mirroring our own personal ecosystem with that of Mother Nature can provide us with deep nourishment.

A good quality green tea, steamed dark leafy greens, beetroot, berries, and fibrous fruits and veggies are all examples of beneficial foods for this time of year. Enjoying bitter herbs such as dandelion, milk thistle, chamomile and burdock root also brings the bitter flavour back to our palette. Tumeric is also a wonderful herb to incorporate.

The emotions most associated with the Liver and Gallbladder are irritation, impatience and anger. For many of us a combination of internal and external pressures, combined with an uncertain geopolitical situation is a bit much!

We owe it to ourselves, and those around us to become familiar with our triggers. With a kind heart we can also aim to be boundaried with one's energy, both in person and online.

Respectfully honouring yourself is a continuous and creative process.❤️❤️❤️ The acknowledgement and acceptance of the phase of life you are in is equally as important as well.

Fresh soil, green shoots a clean space, clean air, gentle movement, a plethora of time and space- are all qualities and nourish us in this vibrant and potent time of year. If these are present in your life- hooray!

If you're in a tough phase, see if you can find little ways to bring nourishment into your life- one breath, one conversation, one little walk, one stretch, one little plant to nourish. A simple walk in the woods can also become medicine when we open our senses and take in what's around us. (the wood element is associated with the LV/GB systems).

Wishing you well in this life giving, encouraging, bubbling up of potential, (almost!!) Spring time. 💚 🌱 Come on sun, you can do it! 🙏🏼☀️☀️☀️🙏🏼
