Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, in the great care of the doctors, nurses and staff at Sligo University Hospital.

Predeceased by his parents Sarah and Joseph, brothers Josie, Mickey and Tommy and sister Molly.

Beloved husband of Kathleen (née Timbs) and dear father of David, Linda, Joseph and Thea.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, sons, daughters, daughter-in-law Teresa, sons-in-law Ruaidhrí and David, grandchildren Charley, Nathan, Glen, Darragh and Demi, sister Judy Grey, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family in the fantastic care of the doctors, nurses and staff at North West Hospice after a short illness borne with great dignity.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Tom, grandsons Emmet and Dáire, brother Seamus and sisters Mercedes, Beatrice and Mona.

Loving mother of Niamh Muldowney and Shane (New York) and adored grandmother of Laoise, Cian, Shane, Lilliana and Dashiel, great-grandson Zach.

She will be sadly missed by her daughter, son, grandchildren, great-grandson, son-in-law Adrian, daughter-in-law Dorene, sister Joy, brother Tony, sister-in-law Mary, nephews, niece, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Margaret Meehan (née Smith)
Ballydoogan, Sligo and formerly of Boyle, Co. Roscommon and Drumdeerig Nursing Home.
Died 16th February, 2026.

Margaret’s daughters Frances, Agnes Logue, Bernadette McLoughlin and Regina, brother Austin and her beloved grandchildren and family wish to thank most sincerely all who sympathised with them in their recent sad loss.
Thanks to everyone who sent mass cards and messages of sympathy and to everyone who attended Margaret’s repose, funeral and burial.
Thanks to all the staff at Drumdeerig Nursing Home for their exceptional care given to Margaret and her family throughout her time spent there and Sligo University Hospital.
Thanks to Fr. Chris Garrett for the wonderful Funeral Mass and spiritual comfort and to Paul Cadden and Leonard Dorrian for the beautiful music throughout the funeral mass.

Predeceased by her beloved and devoted Husband, Sonnie, her parents Dan and Catherine Kilgannon, her brothers Al & Seamus, her sister Theresa Travers, and her nephew Geard Kilgannon, brothers in law Sean & Thady Kilgannon.
