We recently ran a 12 week Strength Class in the MS Centre.
On completion:
- there was an improvement in Timed Up & Go Speed, 5 times sit to stand speed and grip strength.
- 100% of clients enjoyed the class and wished to continue
- 100% felt safe while exercising
- Participants reported enjoying being with others, the encouragement, having structure & supervision, the variety of exercises, gaining strength, it was fun and they pushed themselves
- They felt improvements in strength, balance, fatigue, pain, walking fitness and quality of life

A big well done to Padraig Rooney on completing his target of 50km per day for November! Thats 1,500km - 300km walked and 1,200km cycled 🚲🚶‍♂️ with some tumbles and great stories along the way!

Padraig Rooney cycling to the MS Centre this week as part of his 50k a day fundraiser for the MS Centre for the 365 Challenge

Padraig has done 950km so far this month with 190km walked and 760km cycled

We recently ran the FACETs course in the MS Centre. It is a 6-week course applying strategies of fatigue management as well as providing participants with suitable lifestyle advice to aid them better manage their fatigue.

6 participants attended the 6-week course

100% of clients reported they feel more confident and better able to manage their fatigue after completing the course. 100% of participants also reported having a better understanding of their fatigue.
