Neurological Alliance of Ireland (NAI) welcomes the Government’s Budget 2026 announcement of a €3 million investment in community neuro-rehabilitation teams.

In their recent report, The Right Care in the Right Place, launched in June this year and based on a nationwide survey of over 674 adults living with a neurological condition, the NAI highlighted the significant regional inequities in access to community-based neuro-rehabilitation, with many areas of the country still without any access to a community-neurorehabilitation team.
The investment in this year’s Budget sends a strong signal of the Government’s commitment in its first year in office to delivering on its Programme for Government commitments to neuro-rehabilitation.

Here is a reminder to all of how important these teams are for people with neurological conditions and their families
