In case you ever wondered! This would be one way I wash my hammocks if I'm limited time wise and need to use them soon afterwards - otherwise of course I could bring them to the dry cleaners or wash them in my own washing machine, removing the knots and carbineers. Also nowadays, instead of knots, the hammocks can be tied at the top using a choke loop with a small polyamide sling. Also if a hammock ever gets a slight tear in it - it can often be repaired and still useable depending on how bad the snag is.
