The Tara Open Studio began in July 2014 as an two month exhibition of the art of Courtney Davis, the event was so successful and Courtney was asked if he would like to stay on for an indefinite period. Over time the gallery gradually evolved into a venue for various spiritual activities and in a short time also evolved into a shop.

Knowth is a prehistoric tomb overlooking the River Boyne in County Meath, Ireland. It comprises a large passage tomb surrounded by 17 smaller tombs, built during the Neolithic era around 3200 BC. It contains the largest assemblage of megalithic art in Europe
Legend tells of Oengus falling in love with a princess named Caer Ibormeith. He eventually finds her in the form of a swan and is transformed into a swan himself to be with her. The legend states that they flew together to Brú na Bóinne, where they lived happily.

Phillipa Bowers has been an inspiration to countless peoples across the world for 40 years. Its been a privilege to have her amazing work filling my gallery these past 10 years, and its always been admired and touched peoples hearts.

Phillipa Bowers has been working as an artist and writer since leaving West Surrey College of Art and Design in 1982 with a BA Hons in Sculpture. I went to live in Wookey Hole in Somerset in 1983, since when my work has been available in nearby Glastonbury and has also been sold all over the UK and in many other countries around the world.

She lives live in Glastonbury, Somerset where I have a shop selling my new work at 24 the High Street, Glastonbury, BA6 9DU
