Our most beloved member of staff, the head of security in Health & Harmony - the small but mighty Maggie passed away peacefully and naturally at closing time on Saturday 15th after saying her goodbyes to many of our cherished customers especially the children.
She brought a lot of joy, love and laughter to all our lives and her spirit will live on in our hearts forever 🌈🐶💞

On my recent trip to A Vogel HQ in Switzerland , it was amazing to see the range of herbs growing for harvest in the magnificent gardens.

I can’t believe it’s 26 years ago since I completed their herbal course and their range of remedies remain one of my go to solution for so many ailments.

Something for the weekend 😋I served these with Biona Rye Crackers . Ingredients available in store.

ROAST RED PEPPER & WALNUT PATÉ 

INGREDIENTS

200g Organic Walnuts, soaked for 1 hour

3 red peppers, deseeded & quartered

½ red medium red onion, finely diced

4 tbspns pomegranate molasses

1 tspn ground cumin

Zest plus juice 1 lemon

1 tspn maple syrup

Celtic salt & Black pepper

METHOD
Soak walnuts for at least 1 hour.
Line baking tray & preheat oven 190 degrees
Strain walnuts and toast on a baking tray for around 10 mins. Check in on them near the time to make sure they aren’t burning.
Drizzle the peppers with a little olive oil on a lined baking tray. Roast for 20 mins.
Blend the peppers, red onion, molasses, cumin, lemon juice & juice, maple syrup in a blender until smooth.
Add the walnut and blend to smooth paste.
Lastly add salt & pepper.
