Come join us for a beautiful Afternoon Tea in the Dormitory, upstairs in Holycross Abbey, on Saturday 14th March from 2pm – 5pm.

Treat your mum, grandmother, or a special mother figure to a relaxing afternoon together — the perfect Mother’s Day treat to enjoy delicious homemade goodies, tea and great company in the charming surroundings of the Abbey.

It’s also a lovely chance to catch up with family and friends while enjoying a traditional afternoon tea experience.

Coffee Morning in aid of the Liver Transplant Unit in St Vincent’s Hospital on this Friday 6th March 2026 from 10.30am to 1.30pm in Thurles Golf Club (in association with William O’Gorman, Liver recipient). All support greatly appreciated

We are delighted to collaborate with Club Member, William O’Gorman, to raise vital funds for a truly worthy cause, St. Vincent’s Foundation Liver Transplant Unit.
William received a life-saving liver transplant last year and wants to raise funds for the wonderful foundation that saved his life.
Thurles Golf Club and William will host a Coffee Morning here in the Club on Friday 6th March, from 10.30am to 1.30pm, and any support would be greatly appreciated!
All are most welcome to attend!

Community Notice – Holycross Ballycahill Parish Defibrillators
New volunteers or a small group are urgently required to oversee the management and upkeep of the three parish defibrillators, as the current coordinators are no longer in a position to continue in this role.
The defibrillators have been in operation since 2011 and are located in Holycross Village, Ballycahill Village, and Bohernacrusha. This is a vital community service, and it is extremely important that these life-saving devices continue to be properly maintained and supported.

Guided Tours of Holycross Abbey take place every Sunday from March to September at 2.30pm. No need to book, just come along to the Cloister and join in. Please book at least 48 hours in advance to ensure availability.

Sean Moynihan R.I.P.
The death has occurred of Sean Moynihan, Gleann Rí, Holycross, Tipperary.
Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. In the wonderful care of the of the staff of Padre Pio Nursing Home, Holycross.
Predeceased by his wife Josephine, his parents Annie and Mick, brothers Noel, Michael and Martin.
Deeply regretted by his heartbroken family, daughter Christine, sons John, Michael and Gerard, granddaughters Kelly, Shauna and AIne, brother Paddy, sisters Marian and Eileen, son-in-law Mark (Millea), daughter-in-law Jackie (Cullen), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours and wide circle of friends.
