We are so incredibly proud of Eoin, who has been working at Adams of Tralee for over 4 years now. Seeing our participants thrive in the community is what it’s all about, and Eoin’s dedication to his role is an inspiration to us all.

Thank you to the team at Adams of Tralee for being such a supportive workplace. Eoin, you’re a star, keep up the fantastic work! 🚗💨👏

We were delighted to host fourth-year Wildlife Biology students from Munster Technological University at Scotia Village!

Building our community one step at a time and working together to preserve our environment. It was a fantastic day of sharing biodiversity actions and community participatory approaches with the students. It was wonderful to see such high engagement between the students and our participants. 🐞🌻🌱

From the fields of Scotia Village to The Rose Hotel's kitchen! 🚜🥬

After welcoming The Rose Hotel to the farm a few weeks ago, we’ve just dropped off our first delivery of seasonal produce. We’re so excited to partner with a team that truly values local sustainability!

After we visited the amazing team at a few weeks ago, we were delighted to welcome them to The Rose Hotel with the first delivery of fresh spinach and seasonal produce.

Supporting local growers and celebrating the incredible work happening in our community is something we’re truly proud of. 🥬

We’ve got chills, and they’re multiplying! ⚡️ We spent an incredible day at Siamsa Tíre . From a behind-the-scenes tour of the theatre to hitting the floor to learn the iconic choreography from Grease, we definitely found our rhythm. We capped it all off with a screening of the movie. 💃🕺

Big thanks to Justin Walsh and Siamsa Tíre for having us!

Big congratulations to Fiona for receiving a Highly Commended award in the IDS-TILDA Christmas Card competition! 🎨✨

With 800 incredible entries this year, standing out is no small feat. The PPI selection panel had a tough job, but Fiona’s talent truly shone through. We are so proud to see her hard work and creativity recognized by the IDS-TILDA community.

Well done, Fiona! Keep shining! 🌟

Throwback to our day out at the Killarney Bee Walks and Honey bee farm. We spent the day learning about the queen, the workers, and the craft. Always a buzz when we’re in Killarney. 🐝

We had the absolute pleasure of hosting the Green-Schools Committee from Blennerville National School here at Scotia Village!

After being blown away by the amount of plastic Blennerville students collected, it was a true privilege to help the Green-Schools Committee turn that recycled haul into handcrafted bracelets. Watching them transform waste into something they can wear home was the ultimate reward! ♻️✨

Our Story at Inspired Tralee

Inspired is a community project collaborating with young adults with learning disabilities in the areas of education, employment and social participation.

At Inspired, we focus on ability. We are a unique community project where the participants who have ownership over the direction we take. It is the participants who decide what classes and activities they want to pursue, and we then organise qualified tutors to deliver them. Our current timetable includes personal development, life skills, cooking, drama, Zumba, yoga, photography, art, jewellery making, music and dance. Participants have regular meetings to discuss new ideas, which we are always open to.

Inspired is a registered charity and for several years was entirely self-funded through fundraising, thanks to the generosity of the local community. While we are still reliant on donations to meet some of our costs, in July 2018 Inspired secured funding through the Pobal Ability Programme. This has facilitated a major expansion of the project, taking us from a three days per week operation run entirely by volunteers, to opening five days per week with four paid staff. All at Inspired are grateful to our donors and funders for their support as we continue to grow the project.
