Do you want to make a difference in your community?

KCRU are recruiting and we provide full initial and ongoing training, high quality equipment and ongoing support.

Join our existing and busy teams in the following areas:

🧑🏻‍🦳Killarney & surrounding areas
👩🏾Beaufort, Glencar and Killorglin areas
👴🏼Firies & surrounding areas
🧔🏽‍♂️Rathmore, Gneevgullia and Barraduff areas
🧒🏻Kenmare, Kilgarvan & surrounding areas

First Responder teams are engrained in the communities all across Ireland, they are run entirely by volunteers with Support from the National Ambulance Service.

Community First Responders (CFR) are volunteers who are trained to attend certain types of emergency calls in the area where they live or work. Their aim is to reach a potential life threatening emergency in the first vital minutes before the ambulance crew arrives.

Their role is to help stabilise the patient and provide the appropriate care including CPR & defibrillation, until the more highly skilled ambulance crew arrives on scene to take over the treatment.

CFR groups who are linked to the National Ambulance Service-NAS National Emergency Operations Centre are alerted to an emergency in their area and as they are community based, can provide medical assistance within minutes of a 112/999 call being received.

Your caring affordable home care service

Kerry Respite Care was founded in 2002 and has cared for thousands of older people, people with disabilities and chronic illness throughout Kerry. We are dedicated to helping people remain living at home independently and to supporting those caring for a friend or relative at home. We understand that most people prefer to maintain their independence, home comforts and social networks by remaining in their own homes for as long as possible. It can be a very difficult and emotive decision to acknowledge the need for additional support to enable continued independence and quality of life. Getting some care at home can be an important first step to continue living at home. Our team of dedicated, friendly and compassionate Health Care Workers are the heart of our service. All are qualified, experienced, reference checked, insured, Garda vetted and receiving ongoing training and support. Talk to us at 066 7102796 or email info@kerryrespitecare.ie. Kerry Respite Care is a social enterprise and a registered charity RCN 20052409 CHY 15290. We are supported by the Department of Rural and Community Development and Pobal through the Community Services Programme.
