EMDR is a supportive therapy that helps young people work through tough or overwhelming experiences at their own pace.

It uses simple techniques, like guided eye movements or gentle tapping, to help the brain process memories so they don’t feel as heavy or upsetting.

Many adolescents find it helpful for anxiety, big emotions, or things that have felt hard to move past, helping them feel calmer, more confident, and better able to cope with everyday life.

If you would like to learn more or chat about whether EMDR might suit your young person, contact Gina details below.

We are delighted to introduce the Empathy Studio at the University of Galway IdeasLab as a featured space within this year’s National Adolessence & Beyond Conference.

The Empathy Studio is a human-centred design environment that brings together behavioural science, empathy-led design, and technology to better understand the lived experiences of children, adolescents, families, and those who support them. It encourages meaningful innovation by transforming both individual and collective empathy into practical, real-world action.

At its heart is a simple but powerful invitation:

See through my eyes.
Hear through my ears.
Walk in my shoes.
Live through my experience.

These words reflect the very essence of our conference, to slow down, listen deeply, and truly understand the young people and families we work with every day.

The Empathy Studio reminds us that empathy is not just a step in a process, but an ongoing commitment that shapes how we design services, deliver care, and build supportive communities. We are grateful to the contributors, collaborators, and partners who continue to bring this vision to life and who help us create spaces where every voice matters.

3 ways to reset habits

Your brain, heart, and instincts already know more than you think.
Trust them.
Stay curious.
Release what no longer serves you.

Parenting is not about being perfect, it is about growing alongside your adolescent 🤍

Heartbreak in the teenage years is real and can feel overwhelming.

What seems small to us can feel huge to them.

Stay close, listen with kindness, and remind them they are not alone.
