ℹ Trauma. What is it?
Trauma can often be misunderstood as something that happens to the mind body after a single incident/ traumatic event.
❌While this can be true for a lot of people, the mind and body can experiece trauma for a multitude of other reasons that are often not considered 'traumatic'.

Hostility towards others
Addiction (Substance abuse / alcoholism, gambling, food, spending)
Social withdrawal
Inability to maintain relationships
Self destructive/impulsive behaviour

🫂The support and guidance of a trained professional can be helpful and is sometimes necessary when dealing with trauma.
📖 Inner reflection, learning new tools (breathing excercises, journaling) and reaching out to friends and family can be helpful
