Why is wound care so confusing??

Firstly, the array of different wound types, complications and factors influencing healing is vast! There is no way the a nurse could manage to gain the skills and knowledge to cover all of this in their undergraduate programme.

Second of all, there are too many products!!!
Having the choice is great but can be very overwhelming.

How do you choose between similar products?

My advice.....bring it back to basics!

Work on your wound assessment skills. Build your confidence in deciding what needs to be done to a wound and choosing the products becomes a lot more straightforward 👌

October was a month that took me to Kerry, Dublin, Portlaoise and ALL OVER Cork!

There were plenty of birthdays, a conference, a visit to a farm and a zoo, 4 train journeys, nursing home assessments, clinics, my first Network Ireland event and Killian's first concert💜
