Neuromuscular Readiness Testing & Monitoring of the Climbing Athlete 🧗♀️
I developed a practical, climbing-specific neuromuscular assessment protocol, and explored whether it could objectively detect fatigue and short-term recovery following demanding climbing sessions.
The study highlighted that early force-time characteristics and movement velocity are highly sensitive to fatigue, while peak force alone may underestimate residual neuromuscular impairment.
The findings reinforce the importance of individualised monitoring and provide applied insight for training load management and session planning with competition climbers.
