The death has occurred of Paddy McEnroe, 38 Springfield, Mullingar,
and formerly of Eighter, Virginia, Cavan

Paddy passed away on Friday 10th October, peacefully in Mullingar General Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Shaw’s Funeral Home, Bishopsgate Street, Mullingar (N91 RY65) on Sunday 12th October from 5 to 7pm

Removal on Monday morning from O'Dwyer's Funeral Home, Ryefield, Virginia (A82C2N6) to St. Bartholomew’s Church, Munterconnaught for 10.30am funeral mass. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery

The death has occurred of Michael Murphy, Ballyjamesduff, Cavan and formerly of Landen Road, Ballyfermot, Dublin 10.

Peacefully surrounded by his family at Cavan General Hospital.

Predeceased by his son, Graham. Sadly missed by his loving wife, Valerie, son Keith and his partner Patricia, grandson Jamie and extended family, big circle of friends and neighbours.

Michael will be reposing at his residence in Ballyjamesduff, Co. Cavan this Wednesday from 5pm to 7pm.

He will also be reposing at his son, Keith's, residence in Ballyfermot this Thursday from 4pm to 7pm.

Funeral mass on Friday morning at 11am in the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption, Ballyfermot, Dublin 10 with burial afterwards in Palmerstown Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Colm Mulvany, Seymourestown, Carnaross, Kells, Co. Meath peacefully in Cavan General Hospital on Sunday 6th of July.

Colm will be missed by his brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Colm will repose at Muldoon’s Funeral Home. Bective Square Kells, A82F9V4 on Tuesday, 8th of July from 6pm until 8pm.

Colm's Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday the 9th of July at 12 noon in Church of the Assumption Ballinlough, with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Bridget (nee Hetherton) Tighe , Carrick, Eighter, Virginia, Cavan. Died peacefully on 3rd July 2025 at the age of 91 years young.

Predeceased by her husband Vincent, son Martin, granddaughter Rebecca, brother Bill, and parents Moria and Tommy Hetherton.

Bridget will be very dearly missed by her daughter Eileen, son in-law Paul, brothers Eddie and Donny, her grandchildren Matthew, Francessca , Liam, Austin and Lewis, great-grandchildren Summer, Amelia and Naomi, brother in-laws , sister inlaws, neice, nephew and her great neighbours and lifelong friends

Sadly missed by her husband Brendan, her children Cormac and Mary, daughter in law Monique, son in law Micheál, and her beloved grandchildren Katie, Odhrán, Saorlaith and Aedamar, brothers Ned and Sean, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, and cherished friends and neighbours.

Suddenly but peacefully in Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband Michael (Dick) only eleven days ago, brothers Luke, Pat, Jack, baby Michael, sisters Mamie, Bridget, and Nan.

A loving mother to Anne, Maureen, Jacqueline, Lilian, and Richard.

Sadly missed by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, sister Teresa brother Mick extended family and friends.

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Joan Shortt sadly passed away on the 17th of February in Cavan General Hospital following a short illness.

Originally from Rafter’s Road, Drimnagh, Dublin, Joan made Virginia, Cavan her home since 2001

Already terribly missed by her husband of 56 years Luke, her memory cherished by her children Howard, Tracy, and Nicola and all her favourite grandchildren Ellen, Cian, Elise, Ruby, Ethan, Joseph and Andrew and her great-grandson Tadhgh

Joan’s family wish to thank all the staff of Cavan General who cared for Joan, most especially in the last couple of weeks
