Our approach is simple, we provide support through a free consultation and tour of our community. During this consultation we will find out the specific needs of your loved one, explain our approach to care and answer any questions you may have about Bishopscourt. ☕🍰 “The posh cups were out!” Afternoon Tea in Bishopscourt Nursing Home, Cork 🍰☕

On Friday, our residents enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea- an early celebration of Mother’s Day, complete with homemade scones and cakes prepared by our talented chef. 😋

As one resident joyfully remarked: “The posh cups are out!” — and it truly was a fabulous afternoon of treats, chats and fun.

At Bishopscourt, we celebrate all ladies on Mother’s Day, whether mothers, grandmothers, or special women in our lives. 🌷

A big thank you to our amazing team for making the afternoon so memorable

Happy 86th Birthday, Maggie 🎉

Today is International Women's Day 2026 - and here in Bishopscourt Nursing Home, Cork we are celebrating the wonderful women who live and work in our home. 🌸

On International Women’s Day, and every day, we recognise the strength, kindness, wisdom and life experiences of the amazing women in our care, as well as the dedicated women on our team who support residents every day with compassion and respect.

We are also delighted to share these lovely photos of some of our residents & staff joining in the celebrations and wishing everyone a Happy International Women’s Day.

A fun afternoon of games in Bishopscourt Nursing Home, Cork🎈

On Wednesday our Residents enjoyed a lively game of “The Floor is Lava” — keeping the balloon from touching the floor (the lava!).

A simple game that brings plenty of smiles, laughter and great concentration as everyone stays active and involved.

💙 Investing in Our People 💙

Bishopscourt Nursing Home, Cork is one of 10 nursing homes within the Grace Healthcare Ireland group, where supporting the staff to grow and develop within their roles is at the heart of what they do.

On Friday, February 20th, our Activities Coordinator, Yvonne, attended a dedicated training and development day at the Carlton Hotel Dublin, alongside Activities Coordinators from Grace Healthcare Ireland Homes homes across Dublin, Monaghan, Meath, and Cavan.

The day provided a valuable opportunity to learn, share ideas, and strengthen connections — all with one shared goal: enriching the daily lives of our residents through meaningful activities and person-centred care.

💇‍♀️ Tuesday's is Salon Day at Bishopscourt Nursing Home, Cork 💇‍♀️when we have our weekly visit from Gráinne, our wonderful hairdresser. As you can imagine, the queue is always out the door every Tuesday as residents look forward to being pampered, having a chat, and coming away feeling fabulous. 🥰

Hair days are always full of smiles, laughter, and a great boost to confidence — thank you Gráinne for taking such great care of our residents each week 💙

Some lovely moments captured today at Bishopscourt Nursing Home 🙏

We’ve shared a few photos from this morning as residents received the Ashes, a ritual that holds deep meaning and comfort for many, marking the beginning of Lent with reflection and faith.

We’ve also included a few pictures from yesterday’s pancake celebrations 🥞 – with delicious lemon & sugar, raspberry, and chocolate-flavoured pancakes enjoyed by all. A huge thank you to our Head Chef, Sebastian, who made fresh pancakes for all our residents – they were a big hit! 😋

💖 Sweet treats, music, and lots of love filled the air at Bishopscourt Nursing Home, Cork this Valentine’s Day 💖

Our wonderful Residents enjoyed delicious chocolates 🍫 and were serenaded by the talented Denis, making it a day full of smiles, laughter, and heartwarming memories. ❤️

Our residents enjoyed a lovely flower arranging activity yesterday with a Valentine’s theme — featuring beautiful roses along with colourful blooms to add a splash of brightness 💕🌸

The finished arrangements are now proudly on display in our dining room and reception area, where visitors can also pick up a copy of our latest newsletter.

🎨💖 Arts & Crafts at Bishopscourt Nursing Home, Cork 💖🎨

Our Residents, with the help of our Activities Coordinators, have been getting creative this week during our arts and crafts sessions, painting some beautiful Valentine’s pictures that will be proudly displayed in our Sitting Room 🖌️
