We fully understand and respect the enormity in choosing the right residential care home for your loved one. Our approach is simple, we provide support through a free consultation and tour of our community. During this consultation we will find out the specific needs of your loved one, explain our approach to care and answer any questions you may have about Bishopscourt. We always encourage that you should visit more than one home in order to make an informed decision. 🎄 Christmas Cheer at Bishopscourt Nursing Home🎄

As we celebrate Christmas Day, our residents and staff would like to wish all our families, friends, and followers a very happy, peaceful, and joyful Christmas 💛

Here are some lovely moments from our Christmas party held last week, where the festive spirit was well and truly alive🥰

A huge thank you to our amazing chefs, Sebastian (Head Chef) and Mary, who prepared all the delicious food and cakes for the day — yes, even the mince pies were homemade! 🥧👏

We were also delighted to have the wonderful Irish Weavers providing the music. We always know we’re in for a great time when they’re playing — and this afternoon was no exception 💃🕺

It was a fantastic afternoon enjoyed by all residents and staff, full of laughter, music, and Christmas cheer. 🎁

We would like to say a huge Thank You to our Activities Coordinators and all our Staff for making Christmas 2025 special for our Residents.

🎶 Festive Fun with the Hairmonics 🎶

On Wednesday, December 17th, the wonderful Hairmonics entertained our Residents and Staff once again at Bishopscourt Nursing Home 🎤❤️

They are always a great support to us, coming regularly to share their music and brighten our days 💖
Eoin, one of the Hairmonics (pictured on the right in the video), is the son of our Resident Eileen - a very proud mammy indeed 💛

🎅 Bishopscourt Nursing Home, Cork Christmas Market – Part 1 🎄

What a wonderful day we had at Bishopscourt Nursing Home for our Annual Christmas Market, held on Monday, December 15th ❤️

The market was filled with beautiful handmade items created by our talented Residents and Staff, along with very generous donations from our wonderful families and friends.
🛒Residents, staff, and members of the local community enjoyed a fantastic shopping experience, picking up unique and fabulous Christmas gifts, all while soaking up the festive atmosphere 🎁🎶

We are delighted to share that all proceeds raised will be donated to a charity chosen by our residents in the New Year, making this event even more meaningful 💫

🎄A Magical Day at Bishopscourt Nursing Home 🎄 on Friday, when we welcomed the wonderful Goggins Hill School Choir. Their beautiful carols filled our home with joy — our residents are still singing christmas carols💖

And to make the day even more special… Santa himself made a surprise visit 🎅
The children received little gifts, and their fantastic teachers were treated too to say thank you for coming to our home to sing for us.

🎄 A Busy and Joyful Week at Bishopscourt Nursing Home, Cork 🎄 as we prepare for our Christmas Market on Monday, our much-anticipated Talent Show, and of course our Christmas Party on Thursday🥳🎄Here’s a little look at what we’ve been up to…

🎨 Creative Corner
Ita, Eileen, and Hannah spent a peaceful afternoon colouring beautiful bookmarks for our upcoming market. They turned out fantastic and we can’t wait to share them on Monday

🐾 A Special Visit
Eileen and her daughter enjoyed some heartwarming time with Miller, our beloved Irish Therapy Dog. His visits are always a highlight and bring so much joy to our residents.

🧶 Crafty Comforts
One of our talented knitters created a pair of cosy wrist warmers—her clever solution to jumpers riding up and keeping her arms warm. Practical and handmade with love!

📽️ Documentary Afternoon
This week, our residents chose The History of Christmas as our documentary feature. It was fascinating, festive, and sparked some lovely conversations—everyone thoroughly enjoyed it!
