Our approach is simple, we provide support through a free consultation and tour of our community. During this consultation we will find out the specific needs of your loved one, explain our approach to care and answer any questions you may have about Bishopscourt. We always encourage that you should visit more than one home in order to make an informed decision. Some lovely moments captured today at Bishopscourt Nursing Home 🙏

We’ve shared a few photos from this morning as residents received the Ashes, a ritual that holds deep meaning and comfort for many, marking the beginning of Lent with reflection and faith.

We’ve also included a few pictures from yesterday’s pancake celebrations 🥞 – with delicious lemon & sugar, raspberry, and chocolate-flavoured pancakes enjoyed by all. A huge thank you to our Head Chef, Sebastian, who made fresh pancakes for all our residents – they were a big hit! 😋

💖 Sweet treats, music, and lots of love filled the air at Bishopscourt Nursing Home, Cork this Valentine’s Day 💖

Our wonderful Residents enjoyed delicious chocolates 🍫 and were serenaded by the talented Denis, making it a day full of smiles, laughter, and heartwarming memories. ❤️

🌹 Valentine’s Flower Arranging at Bishopscourt Nursing Home, Cork 🌹

Our residents enjoyed a lovely flower arranging activity yesterday with a Valentine’s theme — featuring beautiful roses along with colourful blooms to add a splash of brightness 💕🌸

The finished arrangements are now proudly on display in our dining room and reception area, where visitors can also pick up a copy of our latest newsletter.

🎨💖 Arts & Crafts at Bishopscourt Nursing Home, Cork 💖🎨

Our Residents, with the help of our Activities Coordinators, have been getting creative this week during our arts and crafts sessions, painting some beautiful Valentine’s pictures that will be proudly displayed in our Sitting Room 🖌️

Tea & Colouring Time at Bishopscourt 🎨☕
Our residents enjoyed a lovely, relaxing afternoon with a cup of tea and some peaceful colouring. It was a calm and creative way to spend time together, with plenty of chat and smiles along the way 😊

🐾 Our residents at Bishopscourt Nursing Home, Cork were delighted to welcome Miller, the wonderful therapy dog from Irish Therapy Dogs, during his weekly visit last week.

These visits are always a highlight of the week, sparking fond memories of residents’ own beloved dogs and bringing smiles and laughter all around. 🐶❤️

A huge thank you to Yvonne McNicholas, Activities Co-Ordinator, for capturing these precious moments. Thanks to her, lots of new lovely memories have been made for our residents 👏

💅 Pampering Afternoon at Bishopscourt Nursing Home, Cork 💅

On Thursday, our residents enjoyed a relaxing pampering session 🥰 With some lovely music in the background, they were treated to hand massages and fresh coats of nail polish — a perfect way to get ready for a bank holiday weekend 🥳

💛 Celebrating Outstanding Care
On Friday, 23 January, the Grace Healthcare Ireland Management Team had the pleasure of hosting a special event to celebrate our incredible staff across their 10 nursing homes in Ireland - of which Bishopscourt Nursing Home, Cork is one.

On the evening, our Chief Executive Officer, Rioghnach Murphy, presented the Heart Awards, recognising staff who have been nominated by their colleagues for providing exceptional care.

We are incredibly proud to congratulate our colleague, Mary Hickey, who was recognised for 28 years of dedicated service to Bishopscourt Nursing Home, Cork

At the Grace Healthcare Ireland Christmas and Awards Evening on Friday, 23 January, Rioghnach Murphy, CEO, and John Bishop, CFO, joined colleagues from across their 10 nursing homes (of which Bishopscourt is one) to honour staff who have dedicated many years to caring for residents.

St Brigid’s Crosses at Bishopscourt Nursing Home ☘️

We’ve been busy creating beautiful St Brigid’s Crosses in preparation for next week. Our residents really enjoyed this meaningful and traditional activity, sharing stories and memories along the way.

The crosses will be blessed today at Mass in Bishopscourt Nursing Home by Fr. Cotter, making them even more special for everyone involved.

Bingo Time at Bishopscourt Nursing Home, Cork is one of our residents’ favourite activities — and as you can see from these photos from Bingo on Wednesday 21st January, when there are prizes at stake, there’s no messing around 😉🤣

Our residents are concentrating hard 🧐, waiting for those lucky numbers to be called. It’s all fun, laughter, and a little friendly competition — just part of the many activities that make life at Bishopscourt Nursing Home, Cork special. 💖
