Mìle buìochas Ó Signacare Waterford.

The residents, staff and management of Signacare Waterford would like to express their sincere gratitude to all members of the community who individually or as part of a voluntary group have throughout the year supported and enhanced the day to day lives of our residents. ❤️

Residents have enjoyed visits from local entertainment groups, dancing schools and musicians. ❤️

A special thank you to our local schools and crèche who wrote beautiful cards for Christmas and visited throughout the year. We love your visits and you all bring great joy to the residents and staff. ❤️

Many thanks to all the public who donated care packages for the residents, these gifts are much appreciated. ❤️

We would also like to acknowledge the support from our local clergy and ministers of the Eucharist ❤️

And finally to our wonderful family and friends we thank you for all your support and kindness during the year it means a lot to us all ❤️

November is a month for remembering our loved ones who are no longer with us.
We recently held our remembrance mass in the centre for our residents who passed over the last year.
Each person that was honoured touched our lives in ways big and small. We give thanks for their stories, their laughter, their struggles and their love.
We all hold a place in our hearts for each and everyone.

A special thanks to our family and friends who joined us, it was wonderful to see you all.
Thanks to Rebecca and her team who again went over and above to ensure the evening was special.

Thanks to our visiting clergy and our musicians. 🎗️💔🤍

What began as a lovely idea quickly blossomed into something far greater than imagined.
Signacare Waterford were honoured to take part in a short firm “First Love”.

To celebrate its success and recognise the residents who participated we held recently a “Day at the Oscars”.

A special thanks to our Director of Nursing Rebecca whose vision recognised just how meaningful this initiative would be for the residents.

A special thank you also to our staff who went over and above to make the day happen. A special mention to Louise, Ian, Shirley, Maria, Marguerite and the catering team who spent long hours getting the venue prepared .

We hope you enjoy the pictures

We want to take the opportunity to reaffirm a core value that defines who we are and how we work: racism has no place in our workplace—not in our words, our actions, or our attitudes.
We are proud to be a richly diverse team, made up of individuals from many cultures, backgrounds, and walks of life. It is precisely this diversity that strengthens our ability to provide compassionate, culturally sensitive, and effective care to the residents and clients/communities we serve.
Our multicultural environment is not just something we celebrate—it is essential to the work we do. Every voice, every perspective, and every contribution helps us grow stronger, more empathetic, and more united.

Let us continue to:

Treat each other with dignity and respect, regardless of race, ethnicity, language, gender or background.
Speak up against discrimination in any form, and support one another in creating a safe, inclusive space for all.
Celebrate our differences as a source of strength, innovation, and connection.

Thank you for the care, professionalism, and humanity you bring to your work every day. Together, we are building a workplace culture that reflects the best of what we can be.

On Friday last we had the pleasure of hosting the book launch “In bed I cut words “ by our resident Corina Duyn. An extract from the Waterford News and Star sums up Corina’s amazing talent.

“The strength and clarity of Corina’s artistic voice is inspiring on its own, but when we consider this determination in the context of her many challenges, it is abundantly clear that Corina is a true artist: she quite simply must make art in order to survive,"
Thank you Corina for all you do

Looking forward to this book launch tomorrow by our resident Corina Duyn
