SELF TALK ✨

The words we speak to ourselves matter more than we realise.
Our thoughts shape our energy, and our energy shapes how we move through the world.

If the inner dialogue is constantly negative, the body holds tension and the nervous system stays on guard. But when we begin to speak to ourselves with kindness and intention, something shifts.

Simple reminders can help guide the mind in a new direction:

Good energy finds me everywhere.
Love finds me everywhere.
Abundance finds me everywhere.
Peace finds me everywhere.
Opportunities find me everywhere.

It’s also important to pay attention to the people we surround ourselves with. Energy is contagious. If the conversations around us are constantly negative — about themselves, about others, about life — that energy still enters our space and our nervous system absorbs it.

Choose people who speak with kindness, encouragement and positivity. Choose environments that lift you rather than drain you.

Protect your energy.
Speak well to yourself.
And surround yourself with people who do the same. ✨

REIKI ENERGY HEALING 🤲🏼

Hands have been used for healing for thousands of years. Long before modern medicine, ancient cultures believed that the human body carried its own energetic life force — and that through stillness, intention and gentle touch, this energy could be supported and balanced.

Reiki is based on this ancient understanding.

During a Reiki treatment, the practitioner places their hands gently on or just above the body, allowing the nervous system to slow down and the body to return to a more balanced state. When the body feels safe and supported, it naturally begins to shift out of stress and into repair.

Reiki works with the body’s subtle energy field, helping to release energetic stagnation and restore flow throughout the system.

Clients often experience:
• Deep relaxation and nervous system regulation
• Emotional release or clarity
• Reduced stress and anxiety
• Improved sleep and calmness in the body
• A sense of grounding and balance

Sometimes the most powerful healing happens not through doing more, but through being still enough to allow the body to reset itself.

At LÁMH Therapies, Reiki and Energy Alignment sessions are offered as gentle, hands-on treatments designed to help the body settle, soften and reconnect with its natural rhythm.

HOME HEALING // Castor Oil + a spoon 🥄

A lot of people carry years of tension between the shoulder blades and along the neck. This area is where stress, poor posture and emotional holding often sit in the body.

One simple way to support your body at home is gentle fascia scraping.

Using a small amount of castor oil and the back of a spoon, you can slowly glide along the upper back and neck area. This helps stimulate the fascia and connective tissue, encouraging circulation and movement in areas that may feel tight or stagnant.

This technique can help:
• Reduce upper back and neck tension
• Improve circulation in the tissue
• Encourage lymphatic drainage
• Support fascia hydration and mobility
• Bring awareness back into areas holding stress

Think of it as waking up the tissue.

When fascia begins to move again, the body often feels lighter, freer and more relaxed.

Small daily practices like this can make a big difference. Your body has an incredible ability to heal when we support it.

Just remember — slow, gentle pressure is key.

And if the tension feels deeper or long-standing, professional treatments like Myofascial Release, Muscle Scraping or Integrative Cupping at LÁMH can help go much further.

Healing isn’t just something done in the clinic — it’s something you can support at home too. ✨

INTEGRATIVE CUPPING THERAPY 🤲🏾

When cupping is combined with myofascial release, the body responds in a completely different way.

Myofascial release works by slowly softening and lengthening the fascia — the connective tissue that wraps around every muscle, nerve and organ in the body. When fascia becomes tight or dehydrated, it can create pain, stiffness, poor circulation and a feeling of heaviness in the body.

Cupping works in the opposite direction to massage. Instead of pressing down into the tissue, the cups gently lift the fascia away from the muscle, creating space in the tissue. This allows blood flow, lymphatic drainage and oxygen to move freely again through areas that may have become stagnant.

When these two therapies are used together, the results can be powerful.

✨ Benefits include:
• Release of deep muscular tension
• Improved circulation and lymphatic drainage
• Reduced inflammation and fluid retention
• Increased mobility and range of motion
• Detoxification of stagnant tissue
• Support for the nervous system to settle and regulate
• Emotional release stored in the fascia

Clients often describe feeling lighter, looser and more open in their bodies after this treatment.

At LÁMH Therapies, cupping is integrated gently within myofascial release sessions to help guide the body back into balance — physically, emotionally and energetically.

YING YANG THEORY 🌅

Sometimes I think we forget how much good there actually is in our lives because we’re always rushing to the next thing. But if you stop for a minute and really look around, there’s always something small to be grateful for — our morning coffee, a bit of sunshine, a good belly laugh, an evening stroll with a pal - this list goes on.

Life is never going to be perfect, all good or all bad. Like the seasons, life will always bend, curve & ultimately change. The old yin and yang idea explains it perfectly — the light and the dark exist together. Without the tougher moments, we wouldn’t even recognise the good ones when they come.

Everything we go through is part of the experience of being here — every emotion, every lesson, every phase of life.

Sometimes the best thing we can do is just slow it all down, take notice, and appreciate it all. Say thank you at every turn, start the morning by expressing your gratitude at being alive and getting the opportunity to live another day.

A lot of the time, the good is already there… we just forget to look for it. ✨

MUSCLE SCRAPING | Modern Therapy with Ancient Roots

Muscle scraping, also known as IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation), is inspired by traditional Gua Sha techniques used for centuries in Chinese medicine to release tension, improve circulation and support the body’s natural healing response.

At LÁMH, this treatment is used to target areas of deep muscular restriction and fascial tightness. By using specialised stainless steel tools to gently work over the skin, we stimulate blood flow, encourage lymphatic movement and help break down adhesions in the tissue.

Clients often report:
✔️ Reduced muscle tension and stiffness
✔️ Improved mobility and circulation
✔️ Relief from neck, shoulder and back pain
✔️ A feeling of deep muscular release

You may notice temporary red or darker markings after treatment — this is a normal response and a sign that the tissue has been stimulated and circulation has increased. These marks typically fade within a few days.

If you’re experiencing chronic tightness, restricted movement or persistent muscle tension, muscle scraping can be a powerful treatment to help restore movement and balance within the body.

SCAPULA RELEASE

The scapula (shoulder blade) is one of the most important yet overlooked areas of the body. It connects the arms, neck, spine and ribcage — meaning tension held here can affect posture, breathing, shoulder mobility and even headaches.

During Myofascial Release, working around the scapula helps free the fascia that surrounds the shoulder blades and upper back. When this tissue becomes tight from stress, desk work, training or emotional tension, it can create stiffness, restricted movement and that heavy feeling across the upper back.

By slowly releasing the fascia around the scapula, the body can regain greater mobility, improved posture, deeper breathing and relief from shoulder and neck tension.

This area often holds more than just physical strain — many people carry the weight of stress and responsibility across the shoulders. When the scapula begins to release, clients often feel a deep sense of lightness through the upper body.

Sometimes freedom of movement begins exactly where we’ve been carrying the most.

DARK SHOWERING 🚿

Dark showering is exactly what it sounds like — taking a shower with the lights off or very dim. While it may seem unusual, many people find it deeply calming for the nervous system.

When we remove bright lights and visual stimulation, the body has a chance to shift away from constant sensory input. Warm water, darkness and quiet can help the nervous system move toward a more relaxed parasympathetic state — the place where the body rests, restores and resets.

Without the distraction of mirrors, phones or harsh lighting, the experience becomes more somatic. You become aware of your breath, the sensation of water on your skin and the rhythm of your body slowing down.

Practices like this can be helpful for people who feel overstimulated, anxious or constantly “switched on”. Small moments of sensory rest allow the body to come back into balance.

At LÁMH, many of our treatments work with the nervous system in a similar way — slowing things down so the body can regulate itself naturally through Myofascial Release, The Myo Method™, Energy Alignment and fascia-informed bodywork.

Sometimes the nervous system just needs less input to find its way back to calm.

⚠️ Safety note: If you try dark showering, keep the environment safe — avoid complete darkness if it feels disorientating, move slowly, and ensure your shower space is free from anything you could trip or slip on.

THE TRIBE 🧚‍♀️👱🏽‍♀️🤰🏽👵🏻🧝🏻‍♀️👩🏾‍🚀👩🏽‍🍳👩🏻👸🏾👩🏼‍🌾♥️✨

As women, one of the most powerful things we can do in adulthood is find our tribe.

Not the tribe we grew up with out of habit.
Not the friendships we hold onto out of obligation.
But the women who truly see us, support us, and grow alongside us.

Sometimes that means having the courage to recognise when we have outgrown old circles. When values change, paths change, and the version of you today no longer aligns with who you once were.

Letting people go doesn’t have to come from anger or resentment. It can come from peace, respect, and honesty. From standing firmly in your truth and allowing others to continue on their own path.

The most beautiful tribes are not forced — they are found.
Women who hold space for each other.
Women who celebrate each other.
Women who walk beside each other in strength and softness.

This International Women’s Day, honour the women who feel like home.
And trust that the right tribe will always recognise you.

✨ Happy International Women’s Day.

👣 CONSTANTLY SHAKING YOUR FEET OR LEGS?

It’s more common than you might think — and it’s often connected to the nervous system.

When the body is carrying stress, excess energy, or feeling overstimulated, the nervous system can stay in a heightened “fight or flight” state. Shaking the leg or foot can actually be the body’s way of trying to self-regulate and release tension through movement.

In somatic therapy and trauma-informed practices, small repetitive movements like this are sometimes seen as the body’s natural attempt to discharge built-up nervous energy.

However, if the nervous system stays in that state for long periods of time, the body can begin to feel restless, tight, anxious or unable to fully relax.

At LÁMH, many of our treatments are designed to gently bring the body back into parasympathetic “rest and restore” mode, helping the nervous system settle and regulate.

Treatments that support this include:

• Myofascial Release – releasing tension held in fascia and muscles
• The Myo Method™ – deep somatic and fascia-informed bodywork
• Energy Alignment & Reiki – calming the energetic and nervous system
• The Myo-Facial™ – releasing stress held in the jaw, face and neck

Sometimes the body is simply asking for space to release what it has been holding.

When the nervous system resets, the body naturally begins to soften, slow down, and feel safe again. 🤍

INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY ✨

Women are powerful.
Women are soft.
Women are resilient, intuitive and deeply connected to the wisdom of the body.

For generations, women have held space for one another — through care, healing, listening and touch. That tradition continues in the work we do at LÁMH.

Our treatments — from Myofascial Release and The Myo-Facial™, to Integrative Cupping, Energy Alignment and The Myo Method™ — are designed to support women in reconnecting with their bodies, releasing tension held in fascia, calming the nervous system and restoring balance.

There is something uniquely powerful about women holding space for women. A space where you can soften, release, reset and be supported without judgement.

Today we celebrate the strength, softness and wisdom of women everywhere — and the quiet power of healing that happens when women come together.

Happy International Women’s Day 🤍
