Anthony Phelan is a native of Waterford and is a Registered Physical Therapist. He completed a Degree in Sports Therapy in Teesside University and a Master’s Degree in the Anglo European College of Chiropractic in the UK. He subsequently travelled to the USA, and after completing his training in Brooklyn Hospital in New York City, and the Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, he was awarded the professional designation Certified Orthopaedic Manual Therapist by the American Physical Therapy Association. He is an accredited High Court provider for expert medical witness testimony and medico-legal reports in personal injury litigation cases. He has partnered with a number of law firms for the provision of these High Court services. He is a past winner of the Ulster Bank Small Enterprise Development Award, and a National Finalist of the Enterprise Ireland (formerly Forbairt) New Enterprise Award. Anthony is a past pupil of St. and De La Salle College. He is a son of the late Tom and Breda Phelan, formerly of Phelan’s Butchers, George’s Street, Waterford and also of Ballyshunnock, Kilmacthomas, Co. Waterford. Anthony looks forward to welcoming you all to his new practice Advance Physio on the Dunmore Road in Waterford City.

The Waterford Lions Club recently held a Christmas event for the children of St Brigids Children Centre at Activate Waterford. A great day of fun activities was had by all !

The Waterford Lions Club held their Annual Christmas Cinema Show for the children of St. Joseph's and St. Martin's special schools in Waterford. This year the screening was The Polar Express. The children were once again delighted to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus :) !

The Annual Waterford Lions Club Christmas Hamper Appeal auction will take place in the Tower Hotel Wednesday 10th December at 7.30 sharp. There are over 220 Lots up for auction which have been donated by the business community of Waterford. It is a great night where there there are lots of items, bargains and the opportunity to buy some Christmas presents while at the same time helping people in need at Christmas time. The entry is free and this year we have Thomas Keighery, of RJ Keighery Antiques who will be the auctioneer on the night. Bidding has already opened. Check our Facebook post for the list of items. Join us for the Annual Waterford Lions Club Christmas Carol Concert which takes place in the Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity in Waterford on Saturday the 13th of December at 4pm.

All funds raised go towards the Waterford Lions Club Christmas Hamper Appeal. Early arrival is advised to secure a seat.
