In this episode, I’m joined by Rev. April Kling — an Interfaith Pastor, Peace Scholar, and Sacred Creative whose work weaves together spirituality, creativity, and community care. Through counseling, ceremony, and creative collaboration, April helps people connect with the sacred in everyday life — no matter their faith, background or beliefs.
Together, we explore what it really means to be an interfaith pastor & peace activist in today’s world, the growing awareness of collective grief, and how we can hold what April calls a “heavy hope” — staying open, compassionate, and grounded even amidst challenge and change.
🌸 We Talk About:
🌸 April’s day-to-day work looks like as an Interfaith Pastor, Peace Scholar, and Sacred Creative
🌸 The practice of “looking for evidence you’re wrong” — a pathway to more peace, compassion & even hope
🌸 Building peace through teaching, community and creative collaboration
🌸 Importance of being in nature and respecting the land that holds and connects us
April also shared her reflections on her hands-on research of inter faith movements in the United States, stories of hope from local gatherings, and reminds us that peace begins with us and our own presence, curiosity, and care.
