Hold onto me as we go—
as we travel this unfamiliar road together,
where the map is unwritten
and the milestones look different
than I once imagined.
The path bends in quiet ways,
sometimes gentle, sometimes sudden,
and I can’t always promise
where it will lead—
but I can promise this:
you won’t walk it alone.
There will be days
when the weight feels heavier,
when the questions outnumber the answers,
when even the smallest step forward
feels like everything you have to give.
On those days, hold onto me.
Let my steady be your shelter,
my arms your pause,
my presence your reminder
that you are safe to keep going.
And there will be days
lit with laughter and light—
where the road opens wide
and you run ahead with confidence,
barely looking back.
On those days, I’ll still be here—
watching, smiling,
learning how to loosen my grip
just enough
to let you become all that you are.
Because this journey was never meant
to be perfect or predictable.
It was meant to be real—
filled with growing,
with trying,
with falling and rising again.
So hold onto me when you need to,
and when you don’t,
know I’m still here—
walking beside you,
heart tied to yours,
every uncertain, beautiful step of the way.
