Many of our community will have a rare disease as a co-occurring condition.

Rare Disease Day reminds us that millions of people live with conditions that are under-recognized, under-researched, and underserved.

For people living with the Ehlers-Danlos syndromes (EDS), the challenge has not only been rarity, it has been recognition.

Too many wait years for a diagnosis.
Too many are dismissed.
Too many navigate fragmented care systems.

As we enter a new era of updated classification and clinical guidance, we are focused on accelerating diagnosis, advancing therapeutic development, and improving coordinated care worldwide.

At Autastic, support is individual, neuroaffirmative, and built around real life, not systems that don’t fit.
From individual support, parent workshops, psychological supports and advocacy, to employment guidance, report translation and application support. Everything we do is centred on the person, not the label.

We work with neurodivergent teenagers, adults, and parents to create clarity, confidence, and practical pathways forward without judgement, pressure, or overwhelm.

Support shouldn’t feel complicated. It should feel safe, empowering, and human.
