Before drying off, check cows are:
✔️ Steady in BCS (not rising)
✔️ On moderate energy diets
✔️ On low-potassium forage if possible

Grass might still be green, but is it still working hard enough for your herd? 🌱

As we move into October, pasture quality starts to drop:
✔️ Digestibility falls
✔️ Energy per bite goes down
✔️ Intakes can slip, even if covers look fine

That can quietly lead to:
• Lower milk solids
• Slower weight gain
• Fertility issues heading into winter
