Correct positioning and attachment is the most important thing for successful breastfeeding. There are very few rules on what position to use. It is important that you and your baby are sitting or lying comfortably while feeding.

The first milk that your breasts produce is called colostrum. Sometimes colostrum is called 'liquid gold' because of its importance and colour.

It is yellow in colour and rich in protein and minerals. Colostrum lines your baby's stomach with good bacteria and contains antioxidants and antibodies that help fight infection and keep your baby healthy.
