Mulligans Pharmacy has a rich history, which began in 1957 when Jim and Sheila Mulligan established the first of many Mulligans Pharmacies at 25 Georges Street, Waterford. Fast forward to 2024… Mulligans Pharmacy has seen tremendous expansion, renewal and innovation with the Mulligan family still at its helm, now operating with 18 stores in the group, including two cafés, Frost & Co - Feel Good Café located in Mulligans Belmont, and Café 1901 located in Mulligans Post House. At Mulligans, we aim to become an integral part of the communities we serve by offering convenience, value, and expertise; and we strive to help our customers live longer, happier, healthier lives. Innovation is at the heart of what we do; most apparent in our launch of Ireland's first drive-thru pharmacy located in Ardkeen, Waterford and our website, which brings Mulligans Pharmacy to you via Home Delivery and Click & Collect. We look forward to welcoming you in-store and online, and delivering exceptional customer service and expertise.

International HPV Awareness Day!

What is HPV?

Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) is not a singular virus, but a family of viruses. There are over 100 types in this family, some more high risk than others.
It’s passed on during skin-to-skin contact, but is not considered an STI.

What does a virus have to do with cancer?

Most cervical and a**l cancers are caused by HPV infection.
Some HPV infections can damage our cells’ DNA, causing mutations and uncontrolled growth. If the body cannot control this, it can lead to cancer.
It would be extremely difficult to avoid the virus itself. Most people will contract it at some point in their life.
If HPV is contracted, most clear it in two years.

Your friendly reminder to check if you are due a cervical screening test.

Visit the HSE website, find the CervicalCheck section in the Health A-Z tab and check if you are due an appointment.
All you need is your PPS number and date of birth.

Speak with your pharmacist or GP without delay about any symptoms that concern you!

Mulligan's Pharmacy was established in 1957. It is a family owned company with 17 stores across Waterford, Kilkenny and Tipperary. We pride ourselves in health, beauty and photography. We offer a full range of prescription services including Drugs Payment Scheme, Long Term Illness, General Medical Services and private prescriptions as well as in store health screening tests done by our Qualified Nutritional Therapist. Our trained cosmetic consultants are there to answer all your beauty needs from skin a**lysis to make-overs. You can also get your memories printed at our photo labs.
