Lara is our Course Leader in Co Kilkenny. She came across kinesiology after struggling with lower back problems since her teenage years. She lived with back pain most of the time, until a friend of a friend had a good experience with a Systematic Kinesiologist and suggested she try it out. She has never looked back since the practitioner improved her back pain almost instantly.

Her career path changed when she decided to start with the Balanced Health Course, from teaching people with learning difficulties all about gardening, to a few years later how working full time as a Systematic Kinesiology practitioner. She also has been teaching Balanced Health for the past numbers of years and is an inspiring Course Leader to learn from.

Her Balanced Health course in Thomastown, Co Kilkenny is running again in Spring 2026 (we get started on 10th February) and if you're thinking about joining, then check out all the details on the website.

Gillian came to Systematic Kinesiology after attending a doctor for a pain at the base of her spine. She had x-rays and an MRI scan but was told there was nothing wrong with her. She was made to feel that the pain she was experiencing was “in her head”. On the second weekend on the Balanced Health Course, the teacher did a simple technique on her and it is incredible that ever since, she has not had the pain again.

She now teaches the course, and one of her recent students Lisa said:
"The course covers logical groundbreaking information you can use to help your body function, heal and energise to optimise your health!"

If you'd like to learn more about this approach to health that uses a wide overall perspective, that teaches you how to look through a whole person lens, then check out our Balanced Health Course - you can get started for free with our short Intro course - link in first comment.

Oh my! It's 22nd December. Are you in the overwhelmed space now or quietly smug that you've everything ready?

Christmas on a Thursday means that we had the weekend to catch up, so I'm feeling kinda ready! But if you're feeling overwhelmed, then as Helena says below, remember to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of ....... water!

Here's what one student said about Helena's course in Co Clare - "The Balanced Health course has had a positive impact on my life. It has helped me develop a deeper understanding of my body, health, and overall wellbeing. The course encouraged me to become more mindful, make more balanced choices, and feel more confident in supporting my own health and wellbeing and helping family and friends."

The Birth of Applied Kinesiology - 1964

Dr. George Goodheart made a game-changing observation: a weak muscle could be instantly strengthened with the right chiropractic touch. This wasn't just a fluke, it sparked a new system of diagnosis based on manual muscle testing. From that moment, the body’s own language became the most powerful diagnostic tool we’ve ever had.

"Body language never lies.” – Dr. Goodheart
