Sometimes the light in us seems to flicker and puff out. I know in the past few weeks I have been boxing hard with my shadow self. There are times when I have stumbled in the dark...and times I have fallen on my face. The trick is to get back up...dust yourself off...and look for that distant light at the end of the tunnel. One step...two step... three step...and the brightness gets brighter. There is only one thing that is a sin in life (sin comes from the ancient greek word related to archery of missing the mark) and that is giving up and surrendering completely to the darkness, your shadow self. I am not even close to giving up. I am on my way to enlightenment. i am writing a book about my experiences of the past month and taking the darkness of the soil and growing something beautiful from it in its proper season. If there is more winter to come....bring it on. I have the patience of a desert rose.
