Yesterday we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming the wonderful ladies from Tomhaggard Women’s Shed to Castlebridge Manor Nursing Home 💛
We are so grateful for the beautiful, handcrafted gifts you kindly donated to our residents. The walking frame bags and sensory items were made with such care and thoughtfulness, and they will truly make a difference to daily life here in our home. The embroidered piece was also a very special addition, and we are honoured to have it.
It was a lovely morning filled with chats, smiles, and connection. Visits like yours bring such warmth and joy to our residents and staff alike.
Thank you again for your kindness, generosity, and for taking the time to spend the morning with us — it really meant so much 💐

🌸🐣 Happy Easter Weekend to all our residents, families, friends, and wonderful staff! 🐣🌸

What a truly special week it has been here in our home. Our residents have been busy getting creative, designing beautiful Easter bonnets full of colour, imagination, and springtime joy.

The highlight of the week was undoubtedly our Easter Bonnet Tea Party – such a fantastic day filled with laughter and celebration! We were delighted to welcome a very special guest… the Easter Bunny 🐰 who brought smiles (and a few sweet surprises!). There were plenty of Easter eggs, lovely music, and delicious treats prepared by our amazing kitchen team. It was a day full of fun, warmth, and togetherness that will be remembered by all.

We also took time for reflection with our Holy Thursday Mass service, and today we will gather for prayers as we mark this meaningful time of year.

Thank you to everyone who made this week so memorable. Wishing you all a peaceful, joyful, and happy Easter weekend 💛🌼

This was Florence’s very first time taking part in our art session, and what a beautiful debut it was. Her creativity truly shone through, and it’s clear to see just how powerful art can be as a form of therapy. The joy, focus, and expression in her work speaks volumes ✨

Thank you to everyone who joined us on Friday for our Daffodil Day Tea Party 🌼
We had a wonderful afternoon filled with music from Sinéad, plenty of tea and delicious cakes, and most importantly, we came together to raise funds for Daffodil Day in support of the Irish Cancer Society.
We truly appreciate everyone who came along and supported such an important cause 💛

Many of our residents, families, and staff have been touched by cancer in some way, and today is a chance to honour survivors, remember loved ones, and support vital cancer services.🎗

Happy Mother’s Day 💐

We honour all the mothers, grandmothers, great-grandmothers, and mother figures whose love, guidance, and strength continue to shape our lives. We also hold in our hearts the mothers who are no longer with us, but whose memory and impact remain deeply felt. And to those who are looking forward to becoming mothers, we celebrate you too.

Across all our Evergreen Care nursing homes, we are privileged to care for so many remarkable women. We are equally grateful for our dedicated staff, many of whom are mothers themselves, who share their compassion and care each and every day 💗

Michael doesn’t always take part in arts and crafts, but when he does, his dedication truly shines. His latest piece is nothing short of a masterpiece, and we are so proud to showcase his wonderful talent.

Today we proudly wore our denim to support Denim Day for Dementia, raising awareness and showing solidarity for those living with dementia and their families.

A huge thank you to our wonderful staff for wearing their jeans and getting involved — your support means so much! 👖💙
