Do you like a challenge? Think you’ve got what it takes?

We’re putting together a team to take on Hell & Back this June 6th, Ireland’s ultimate physical and mental endurance challenge!

Last night we hosted the national final for the Impromptu Debating in Wexford Harbour Boat & Tennis Club.

The final saw Callan and Durrow / Abbeyleix battle it out over the motion “space exploration is a waste of money.” Both teams put in an excellent performance having had only 30 minutes and a dictionary to prepare their debates. Wexford Macra extends their congratulations to both teams, and in particular to Callan who were crowned national champions, with Paul Mahon awarded best debater.

Our last county dance brought the brilliant Stuart Moyles to the IFA Centre.

Huge thanks to Stuart for providing the music for a fantastic night of dancing. We love having you with us in Wexford for a great nights’ dancing!

This month (Friday 17th) we have we have the brilliant Aishling Rafferty, with all proceeds going towards Relay For Life so be sure to come along, support a great cause, and experience another great night in the IFA Centre!

👫 Mixed teams of 6 (3 men and 3 women), with up to 4 substitutes

🏆 The winners of the county round will go on to represent Wexford in the National Finals on the 26th April.

THE COUNTDOWN IS ON TO OUR NEXT DANCE! 💃🕺

Get ready for a fantastic night and join us for our next county dance on Friday 17th!

This dance will be a charity fundraiser for the Irish Cancer Society, as part of our Relay for Life Team’s efforts. Relay for life is a 24 hour event to celebrate cancer survivors, remember those that we’ve lost, and to bring the community together to fight back by raising awareness and vital funds for the Irish Cancer Society.

Relay for Life Wexford is the largest event of its kind in the country and has raised over €1.3 million for the Irish Cancer Society over the past decade. These funds have supported life-changing services, including cancer research, patient transport, counselling, specialist nurses, educational resources, and much more.

All profits from this dance will go directly towards our Relay for Life team’s fundraising efforts.

LADIES’ NIGHT 💕

This month’s theme on the Macra Rural Youth Calendar is “Mind our Ladies,” and we marked the occasion with a gorgeous evening in the Alamo. What better way to celebrate than with delicious food, a couple of glasses of wine, great company, and a well deserved evening out!

We had a wonderful time can’t thank everybody in the Riverside enough for taking such great care of us.

TABLE QUIZ ⁉️

We hosted a great table quiz on Wednesday night! It was a great night filled with challenging questions and some difficult dingbats!

Congratulations to our runners up Conor, Roisin, Theresa, and Willie, and to our winners Beth, Eddie, Niall, and Sinéad.
