👂 Ear Wax Removal by Microsuction

Coming to Happy Feet Foot Clinic this June

We’re introducing professional ear wax removal using microsuction (as well as offering irrigation), a modern and precise method for clearing blocked ears.

Unlike traditional ear syringing, microsuction uses a gentle medical suction device while the ear canal is viewed under magnification. This allows the wax to be removed safely and accurately.

We assess three key systems:
• Sensory – checking feeling and protective sensation
• Motor – looking at movement, strength, and foot structure
• Autonomic – assessing skin health, sweating, and circulation changes

All three systems work together, and changes in any of them can increase the risk of complications if not picked up early.

Karina has clearly taken our footwear advice to the next level… 🛼👟

At Happy Feet Foot Clinic, we spend a lot of time helping patients choose the right footwear to support their feet properly.

Karina, however, has decided the best option is one rollerblade and one runner… apparently it keeps one foot rolling into the weekend while the other stays firmly grounded.

We can confirm this is not part of our professional recommendation… but it did give us a good laugh in the clinic today.

Diabetes and foot care — the statistics are shocking.
• 20 amputations happen every day due to diabetic foot ulceration.
• Over 80% of these are preventable.
• 65% of people who have a lower limb amputation will die within 5 years.

And very often… it starts with something small.
