CAN YOU GUESS WHAT THIS PICTURE IS?
What is visual closure? It is a visual perceptual skill that allows us to recognize a familiar picture/ item or word, when only given partial information. This skill is necessary for example when reading, finding the correct paper or book in a backpack or completing puzzles.

It's Almost Summer time!๐Ÿ˜Ž
Horray! Your children have finally returned to school after being on zoom for more than a year, and it is now time to address any motor concerns you may have before the next school year. It is ืื—ืจื™ ื”ื—ื’ื™ื!

If your child has been diagnosed with ADHD and struggles with executive functioning, I highly recommend therapy using the COG- FUN method. I have been offering therapy using this intervention for a few years and have seen incredible results! It is an amazing strategy that really yields results in children diagnosed with ADHD and struggling with executive functioning.

Here is a short description from the Hebrew University website:

The primary objective of the Cogโ€“Fun intervention is to promote the acquisition of executive strategies (methods for planning and controlling behavior) and to develop self-efficacy in occupational performance and life roles (self-care, play, school, social participation). For a child to internalize these strategies, they must be acquired through positive, pleasant and empowering experiences, making the childโ€™s efforts worthwhile. Strategy acquisition and transfer to daily life is a time consuming process that requires neuro-cognitive maturity and self-awareness, and therefore cannot be the sole mechanism of change. In order to enable immediate functional goal achievement during the effortful process of strategy acquisition, Cog-Fun intervention also incorporates the use of environmental supports and procedural functional learning methods.
